His eyebrows furrowed slightly. "Why aren't you having breakfast?"
Sophie Sullivan stared at him strangely. He had been angry with her for no reason, and then punished her for no reason. Now, what did these concerns mean? Sophie Sullivan couldn't figure it out, so she simply stopped thinking about it.
She closed her eyes and said weakly, "I'll eat later."
"Still no energy?"
Sophie Sullivan impatiently opened her eyes. She wanted to rest quietly for a while. Why did he keep hovering around?
"I mean, can you just let me rest quietly for a while?"
Thomas Shannon's eyes darkened, and his expression turned gloomy; his hands, hanging by his sides, clenched into fists.
Then, slowly, he unclenched them.
Sophie Sullivan looked at him, a hint of defiance in her voice, "You were angry. What is this now?"
"…"
"Are you trying to make peace with me?"
"…"
"I knew that wasn't it."
Sophie Sullivan said, turning her back to him.
Thomas Shannon ordered her in a deep voice, "Turn around."
