After the servant left, Fluffy Zane turned her head and asked Sophie Sullivan worriedly, "Sophie, are you...?"
Sophie interrupted her. "Time is short, so I'll be brief. Are you all right?"
She couldn't stay too long, lest Thomas Shannon suspect she and Fluffy Zane had some special relation. Once he knew, Fluffy Zane might become another new leverage point to threaten her. She didn't want to involve any innocent people because of herself.
Fluffy Zane shook her head. "I'm fine. Why are you asking that?"
"Has anyone been troubling you lately?"
What worried Sophie most was that the deranged Minimus Hart would come after Fluffy Zane. If Minimus Hart targeted her, the consequences would be all too predictable. Fluffy Zane was no match for Minimus Hart, and she had only one part to play—the victim.
Fluffy Zane carefully recalled the recent past. Apart from caring for William Guillen, absolutely no other affair had occurred, much less an affair where someone came to trouble her.
