Just as the words left his mouth, his bright brow furrowed. "Fennie?"
In the bedroom, Sophie Sullivan's figure was nowhere to be seen.
Thomas Shannon tossed the towel aside, turned, and hurried downstairs. "Where's the maniac?" he demanded.
The servants and maids on night shift trembled upon hearing his cold voice. "Young Master," one stammered, "she... she went out..."
"Where did she go?"
"She's probably just taking a walk outside." The servant had only seen Sophie go out and didn't know what she was doing.
Thomas Shannon retracted his gaze and called a bodyguard to find Sophie.
Finally, Sophie was found in the medical office.
Late and quiet, Sophie stood alone outside the ICU ward in the empty corridor. Through a glass barrier, she stared blankly at George Standford, who was still unconscious.
