The nurse saw Thomas Shannon and respectfully bowed her head. "Young Master."
George Stanford concealed his shock and laughed. "Young Master Shannon is here."
Sophie Sullivan turned around. A handsome man was walking towards her, a barely perceptible smile on his lips.
Sophie pursed her lips, looking somewhat unhappy. "Why are you here?"
"Can't I come?" Thomas's eyebrows twitched. He'd heard from a servant that when Sophie was told to prepare to accompany him to the banquet that night, she had refused.
In a blink of an eye, she had run off to find Old Mr. Stanford. It seemed Old Mr. Stanford's charm was even greater than his own, drawing Sophie to the medical office every day.
George Stanford glanced between Sophie and Thomas, clearly sensing the tension.
He gave the nurse a look. "Young Master Shannon, I need to continue my walk. You and Fiona can keep chatting. Little nurse, let's go."
