"Are you concerned about me?" Fluffy Zane asked softly. Because of her illness, her eyes were moist, and she was listless, making her resemble a helpless child.
William Guillen had to suppress his temper. Losing his temper with a patient wasn't the conduct of a tough man. He endured it.
He glanced at the time. "I'll have someone bring you some food. You need to take your medicine later."
With that, he turned and started to walk out.
Fluffy Zane clutched the thin quilt, calling out to his retreating figure, "William Guillen, are you really concerned about me?"
The man stopped. His cold sneer echoed, "Are you blind? If I'm not caring for you, do you think I'm trying to harm you?"
