Chapter 130 - Chapter-129

Heading to another part of the city, we find ourselves in the underworld of Musutafu, where an important scene unfolds. In an alley, a small gang observes someone passing by. It's Ibara Shiozaki, dressed in a green sleeveless blouse that showcases her silver crucifix necklace. She wears medium-long white pants and white shoes, with a backpack on her back and a suitcase with wheels in tow.

As the smiling girl walks along the sidewalk, one of the gang members steps out to approach her. However, he's swiftly grabbed by the shoulder and slammed against the wall by his own partner. "Are you crazy? You know the rules," his partner warns, tightening his grip. "She's the devil girl of UA. Unless you want us all to disappear, control yourself... or I'll kill you myself." With that threat, he puts his hand in his pocket, and the sound of a trigger is heard.

Swallowing nervously and nodding, the subject is released from the grip. As the girl passes by, he manages to greet her, feeling his companions' gazes fixed on the back of his neck.

"Oh... Good morning!" Ibara returns the greeting to the friendly group before continuing on her path to a small store. Entering, she greets the older man at the cash register. Taking a sweet drink and something solid to eat, she takes them to the cash register.

"Are you friends with the UA devil?" the store owner asks seriously as he rings up her items.

"Excuse me?" Ibara responds, confused.

"I saw you at the UA sports festival. You're friends with Uzumaki Naruto," the old man says, smiling slightly. "I watched them at the competition. They swept everyone. Well done."

"Thank you?" Smiling awkwardly, she packs her things into her backpack. Looking around, she feels the gaze of several people on her, curious but not hostile. "No offense, but I was told this part of the city was very dangerous and marginalized, however…"

"It's different…" the store owner, who smiles, completes the sentence, taking his glasses and cleaning them with his apron. "If you had come two years ago, it was chaos. Gunshots every night, constant robberies... But then 'he' arrived, and everything changed."

Ibara shudders at the thought of the uncontrolled violence that plagued the area.

"It was, until more than a year ago, when 'he' arrived, everything changed," the old man continues, chuckling. "I remember the times they tried to rob or intimidate him. Ha! That boy knew how to use his fists. I remember when he moved to Mrs. Yuroichi's building, the criminals were disappearing. Even some recognized villains who tried to stop him failed and perished. Little by little, this place was abiding by the new rules."

"New rules?" Ibara asks, concerned about her friend's safety and methods.

"His rules were simple: don't steal or attack anyone in this area, and most importantly, don't bother him. That boy made big changes in this place," the store owner explains, smiling. He points out former criminals who have turned their lives around under Naruto's influence.

"Screw you, Yumaru. When I'm a lawyer, you'll beg me on your knees to protect you from lawsuits over the lack of hygiene in this place," a smiling young woman with brown hair comments as she finishes arranging the cans in the pantry.

"We'll see, brat," the old man said with a smile, turning his attention back to the religious teenager. "You're not the only one who sees something good in that boy. He improved the lives of dozens of people without even trying."

"I understand... but..." the girl said, now calmer, indirectly caressing her necklace. "Why do they call him the devil of the UA?" She asked, displeased with the cruel nickname given to her friend.

"You believe in God, right?" Seeing the girl nod, the old man adjusted his glasses. "Samael, Lucifer, Satan, or the devil, whatever you want to call him, he was the most loyal archangel that God had. But when God created man and generations passed, Samael was the first to see the evil within man. But God refused to acknowledge it. How can you overlook the evil within your supposed best creation? One created with so much love and affection, yet turned out to be a species so full of hatred, fury, jealousy, and other evils..."

"..." The green-haired woman listened silently to the old man.

"Samael felt jealous and frustrated by the attention God gave to his most recent creation, but he remained faithful, believing his father had a reason. More generations passed, and finally Samael grew tired of seeing the atrocities committed by man. Witnessing innocent people being murdered and harmed without receiving punishment was something Lucifer could not bear. Against his father's orders, he descended from the heavens and became the sword of punishment for all sinners. He ensured that those who harmed the innocent received what they deserved and would never do it again..."

"That angered God..." The teenager spoke with regret, recognizing the story she had once heard from a pastor.

"Yes, but he also knew that Lucifer, for better or worse, was a necessary evil that must exist to punish those who have committed atrocities..." The old man shrugged, knowing this version might not be easily believable. Many only see the devil as evil, causing disaster in our lives. But there are various interpretations, some of which may hold truth. "That's why God had the pain of bringing down one of his sons to live in the darkness of the underworld as the punisher of those who committed atrocities on earth..." He smiled bitterly, crossing his arms. "I wasn't wrong to give him that nickname..."

"So, you..." the girl began, seeking clarification.

"Yes, I coined that nickname a long time ago: the Devil of the UA. A person who breaks the old mold of being a hero. He's the kind of person we need in these dark times... I'm sorry, sometimes I get carried away with my thoughts," the old man apologized, standing up to attend to other customers.

"No, it's okay." Unsure of what to think, the girl bid farewell to the store owner and left. She had a lot to ponder as she continued walking along the sidewalk toward her destination.
