Hi everyone, and Holy shit! This story has been such a journey! It was the first Fanfic I wrote that I was planning on finishing, and damn right I did it! I was originally planning on having this be like 10k maybe even 30k words to wrap up every single thing, but I decided against it. That was mostly a last minute change. There was one way I always wanted to end this story and I decided to go with that instead.
Chapter 350: The End? Or just the beginning…?
– Layla of the Fallen –
"....So the last daughter of the Christian God returns from the mission I assigned her. Successful, although she did cheat a bit," the One Above All said to me, his voice calm and slightly amused.
I felt my cheeks heat up, and I glanced away from his penetrating gaze, embarrassed but not really sorry. "Yeah, I guess I bent the rules a little," I admitted with a guilty shrug. I knew exactly what he was referring to. Allowing my own people to suffer, even temporarily, had never sat well with me.
Watching them struggle, hurt, or worse—die—was something that made my chest ache terribly.
I had stepped in and gotten involved directly, maybe more than I was supposed to. But could he really blame me?
Giving Dragon a proper human body had been a choice that was kind of pushing my allowed boundaries. And then, equipping all the heroes in nearly indestructible armor, suits crafted from my own black chakra metal. I knew I'd definitely pushed the limits a little too far there.
Still, I couldn't help myself. They deserved to survive the fight to save their own world, and I wasn't taking any chances.
Scion had been completely blindsided! When hundreds of MY heroes, fully armored and practically unstoppable, descended upon him, it had been a beautifully brutal sight. The look of shocked disbelief on his golden face, right before they overwhelmed him, crushing his ridiculous alien murderhobo self into oblivion—that was priceless.
All of his infinite powers didn't mean shit if none of them could injure anyone.
And then Carol had taken down the Simurgh in space. All that was left was the Behemoth which Fallcorp's heroes would easily be able to slay now that the Simurgh could no longer control it, giving it orders.
…And now, just as suddenly as I'd been sent away, here I was again. Back in this strange yet oddly comforting void, seated comfortably on a plush velvet chair. Across from me, in his own chair of shining silver, sat the One Above All. His eyes, glowing softly with a strange, distant kindness, studied me intently. "You really made quite a show of it down there," he continued, tilting his head thoughtfully. "I had hoped you'd let them find their way, but you just couldn't help yourself, could you?"
I shifted nervously. "...I hate seeing people suffer. Especially people I care about. And those heroes put their trust in ME. Rules or not, I wasn't going to let them fight an evil alien god without giving them every advantage I could think of..."
He chuckled softly, the sound echoing pleasantly through the emptiness around us. "You always were stubborn, Layla."
This was it.
"...You would know that, wouldn't you… Father?" I said, letting that last word hang in the air between us.
He stared at me silently for a moment, eyes widening slightly. His eyebrows shot up in clear surprise before he finally exhaled in a deep, heavy sigh, followed by an amused chuckle. "So you finally figured it out, huh?" he asked.
I leaned forward, my heart beating faster as I watched his image ripple and shift right before my eyes. The older, gentle man who'd looked a bit like Stan Lee slowly faded away. In his place appeared a younger figure, powerfully built and radiating an almost overwhelming presence. He had long, flowing white hair that cascaded down his shoulders and an elegant white beard. His eyes shone with a mixture of pride and deep, ancient wisdom. Draped around his body was a pristine white toga edged with subtle golden embroidery. It was him. GOD with the big G. My father—the Alpha and Omega himself, just as my siblings and I had remembered him.
He and the One Above All were one in the same…
I stared, barely breathing, my sixteen wings all popped out of my back as soon as he transformed. They were fluttering nervously behind me. Emotions I couldn't even describe filled my chest—a mixture of joy, shock, disbelief, and relief.
"You…" My voice cracked slightly, raw with sudden emotion. "You weren't dead after all."
He offered a small, gentle smile, eyes softening with tenderness as he met my shocked gaze. "No, Layla. I wasn't. Just… hidden. Watching, waiting for the right moment."
"Then why?" I asked, feeling anger suddenly rise to the surface. I clenched the plush velvet chair beneath my fingertips, gripping it so tightly my knuckles turned white. "Why the secrecy? Why hide your identity from me? From us? Do you have any idea how much we mourned you? Michael and Gabriel and the other archangels were all devastated! They're still devastated even if I took over your throne!"
He sighed deeply, regret flickering briefly across his handsome features. "I'm sorry, Layla. Truly, I am. But there were things I needed to see unfold naturally. " He smiled warmly, tilting his head slightly as if he'd already anticipated my words. "You're incredibly clever to have worked this much out on your own, daughter. But…" He paused, leaning slightly forward. "You haven't quite figured out everything yet."
"What do you mean?" My purple eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion.
He chuckled again, gently shaking his head as he regarded me affectionately. "I know that something has been worrying you all of these years, Layla. You always thought of yourself—just a little bit—as an imposter, someone who didn't belong in this universe…"
That was… It wasn't completely untrue I supposed. As much as I hated those occasional thoughts.
He continued, "But that was never true at all. You've always been my daughter, from the very beginning. All of humanity are my children—and that's why I made certain that you were reborn as my final Angelic daughter, Layla. My final perfect creation!"
I stared at him, mouth slightly agape. "Wait—what? You mean… But—I woke up with a gamer system!"
Wasn't this body just created by my System? It fabricated an entire backstory for me!
Father could apparently read my mind because he simply shook his head. "No, Layla," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "In that graveyard, you were simply recovering memories you'd lost from your past life. This body—this life—was always yours. There was no other Layla. Just you."
I felt my breath catch sharply. My mind raced, pieces slowly beginning to fit into place. Still, doubts lingered. "But… that's not what my gamer system told me," I insisted, shaking my head stubbornly.
He smiled wryly, eyes glinting with humor as he waited for me to connect the dots.
"You created my gamer system, didn't you?" I breathed out.
[He did, Host…]
He nodded slowly, pride and affection shining openly on his face now. "Very good. Yes, Layla. I created your gamer system. I designed it specifically to guide you, to challenge you, and to help you grow until you could replace me…" Father leaned back comfortably in his chair, crossing one leg over the other as he regarded me with patient amusement. There was still a slight sparkle in his eyes as if he were enjoying seeing the pieces finally clicking into place inside my head. "You know," he began slowly, "I wasn't actually the one who originally came up with the concept of these gamer systems. In truth, they've been a plague upon the omniverse for millions of years. Countless universes have been ruined or corrupted by reckless beings using such abilities irresponsibly. It was chaos. I wasn't the first to create these systems, but I was the one who perfected them. I took a flawed, chaotic idea and shaped it into something truly remarkable. Your gamer system, Layla, is by far the strongest and most refined ever created."
I felt my gamer system preen proudly inside my head, practically vibrating with smug satisfaction.
[Damn right, I am!]
I rolled my eyes slightly at its cockiness, though secretly I felt proud too. After all we'd been through together, it felt oddly satisfying to know my system was truly one-of-a-kind.
Father leaned forward slightly, eyes fixed intently on mine. "Layla, your power has only just begun. You have no idea how strong you will become. Eventually, you won't just be a powerful gamer—you will surpass them all. Your gamer abilities are already past the point where you can kill these destructive gamers permanently and completely erase their corrupted systems from existence."
That was true, I had literally done just that in the Dragon Ball universe.
"Everything you've gone through has been preparing you for this. I'm beyond proud to say that you have finally reached the level I had hoped you would," he added.
A sudden lump formed in my throat, and tears pricked at the edges of my eyes. His words hit me hard, pride and love swelling warmly in my chest. Quickly, I wiped away a stray tear from my cheek, chuckling softly in embarrassment. "You really believe I'm ready for all that? That I can actually handle that much power and responsibility?"
He smiled warmly, his expression softening with fatherly affection. "You've already proven yourself, Layla. You've conquered the trials set before you. Your own multiverse is already secure beneath your many black wings, and with time and dedication, you'll expand even further. Other multiverses will thrive under your watchful care and protection."
I swallowed hard, nodding slowly. "I won't let you down," I'd already accepted the mantle of Supreme Goddess before. I wasn't going to back away now. Not after everything I've gone through to get here!
Father's smile widened proudly. "I never doubted you would."
After a moment, I hesitated, changing the subject. "But… what about you?" My voice softened, tinged with uncertainty. "Are you still planning to leave? You're really not coming back home with me—not even to say goodbye to Michael, Gabriel? You know how much they've missed you."
He raised one eyebrow, giving me a challenging smirk. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes that felt both irritating and endearing at once. "Nope," he said bluntly. "You can be the one to tell them I'm alive. But if they want to come find me themselves out there in the vastness of the omniverse, they'll have to manage it on their own."
I blinked at him in shock, frustration rising inside me. "You seriously expect them to just chase you across dimensions… blindly?"
He laughed outright, clearly amused by my indignation. "I wouldn't exactly call it blindly, after all don't they have faith? It's a test for them, Layla. And don't you dare give them too much help now," he warned, wagging a finger at me with mock severity. "They're big boys and girls, after all. They need to learn to handle things themselves, just as you have. At least, if they want to come after me. But I figure that might be a while. They care for you too much to just up and leave you on your own."
Before I could open my mouth to argue, he rose gracefully from his chair.
"Wait!" I called out quickly, reaching out as if to stop him. "You're leaving already? Just like that?"
He turned back towards me, eyes sparkling with pride and gentle affection. "Don't look so worried, Layla. You're ready now. I've done all I need to do. This chapter is yours to write. Make me proud."
Then, before I could say another word, he was gone…
I stared dumbly at the empty chair across from me, my heart racing in my chest. The silence of the void felt heavier now, more oppressive. Yet at the same time, a calm determination spread through me, pushing away the lingering doubts.
[It's just us again, Host,] my gamer system chimed in gently.
"No… It's not. It's never really been just us." I replied. I then stood up myself, with a hundred and a thousand different plans in my head. But one of those came before everything else. It would take some preparations and I was going to have to make a lot of house calls to get everyone ready in time.
Good thing I could make clones.
The next day…
…I stepped out from my purple portal onto the highest balcony of Asgard's beautiful Golden Palace.
And there, leaning casually against the intricately carved railing, stood the woman who captured my heart again and again—my beloved Hela. Her long, silky midnight-black hair cascaded down her elegant back. I smiled warmly, silently admiring her toned curves beneath her tight emerald-green gown.
Even from behind, she looked perfect.
Hela always loved coming out here to watch over her queendom. It was her quiet moment, a peaceful chance to enjoy all she had worked tirelessly to protect and rebuild after so many hardships.
I could feel a deep wave of affection swelling inside me just watching her.
I'd never openly play favorites within my harem or among any of the women I deeply loved, but even still, Hela had always been special. She was fiercely loyal, powerful, and endlessly devoted. Her love for me had never wavered, never faded, even through countless challenges and tests of faith. And I knew without a doubt she'd stand by my side forever. Losing any of the women I loved, even after thousands or millions of years, would devastate me completely. But Hela—I knew deep in my heart that I would never lose her.
After everything we'd shared, I knew the moment I'd planned for tonight would mean just as much to her as it would to me. It had been a long, long time coming.
Hela sensed my presence instantly. She turned around slowly, eyes lighting up with pure joy as soon as she saw me. Her captivating emerald gaze met mine, filled with warmth, happiness, and relief.
Her plush, dark red lips parted in a stunning smile. "Layla…" she breathed out gently, eyes shining brightly. "You're finally home."
Before I could even respond, Hela was already moving towards me, her slender hips swaying seductively as she closed the distance in a few quick strides. Her arms wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me possessively against her soft, perfect body. Our generous breasts pressed tightly together through the thin fabric of our dresses, our curves molding together perfectly. Her hands slid boldly downward, squeezing my ample ass cheeks firmly through my black dress.
I gasped quietly in surprise and delight, heat rising quickly in my cheeks as she gave me a mischievous smirk. "Couldn't resist," she purred unapologetically. "You know how much I've missed this, missed you."
Before I could tease her back, she leaned in and sealed my lips in a deep, passionate kiss. Her mouth was soft and eager, her tongue boldly claiming mine as if reaffirming her ownership of my heart. A shiver of pure pleasure raced down my spine as I melted into her embrace, returning her kiss with equal passion.
"I missed you too, Hela," I whispered softly between deep, hungry kisses, clutching tightly to her slender waist.
She smiled against my lips, deepening the kiss even further, exploring me thoroughly. Eventually, she pulled back slightly, trailing tender kisses along my jaw and down the delicate skin of my neck. My heart pounded furiously at her soft, loving touch, my body quickly warming beneath her expert ministrations.
"You have no idea," she murmured huskily against my neck, leaving a trail of teasing kisses. "No idea at all how empty it felt here without you. I had to sleep alone. Do you realize how unfair that is?"
I laughed softly, threading my fingers through her soft, silky hair. "I'm so sorry, my love," I whispered breathlessly. "I promise to make it up to you."
She chuckled seductively against my skin, gently nipping at my neck. "Oh, I know you will," she said confidently, eyes twinkling wickedly as she drew back slightly to meet my gaze. "Believe me, my darling angel, we have so much lost time to catch up on, and most of it will be spent in our bedroom."
Hela's hands were still firmly gripping my ass, kneading and squeezing with an eagerness that made me blush brightly. I felt her palms slowly sliding higher, fingertips boldly teasing the edges of my dress and threatening to move underneath. The raw desire glowing in her emerald eyes nearly melted away every ounce of self-control I had left.
I bit my lip, trying hard to fight the temptation. Hela always had this powerful effect on me, this ability to make me lose myself completely in lustful abandon. But I couldn't give in—not just yet, anyway.
"Hela…" I murmured softly, my voice trembling slightly, "Wait, hold on a minute."
She looked at me in confusion, raising a playful eyebrow as her wandering hands continued their teasing exploration of my curves. "Layla, you're seriously making me wait even longer?" she asked with an adorable pout, pressing herself even tighter against me. "That's just cruel."
I laughed breathlessly, gently grasping her wrists and slowly easing her roaming hands off my body. "Trust me, love. I promise it'll be worth the wait."
Hela giggled mischievously, licking her lips as she gave me a heated look. "Ooh, is this some kind of hard-to-get roleplay? Because honestly, I'm completely down for that idea."
I chuckled, shaking my head at her eager expression. "Actually, that does sound incredibly tempting, but no, that's not why I stopped you," I said, smiling mysteriously.
Hela tilted her head, her curious green eyes narrowing slightly as she tried to guess my intentions. "Okay, so what is it then?" she finally asked.
I smiled playfully, stepping back slightly to create a bit of breathing room between us. "I have a gift for you, Hela. And trust me. it's something you're absolutely going to love. But there's also a lot of people waiting for us. All your… excitement," I teased softly with a seductive wink, "will have to wait until later tonight."
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she watched me carefully. "What people? What are you talking about, Layla?"
I simply smiled wider, holding my right hand up in the air. With a gentle snap of my fingers, I immediately dissolved the illusion I'd carefully placed around the palace and its surroundings.
Instantly, the entire landscape shifted dramatically around us. The vast ocean that used to stretch out beyond the city's edge, draining down a massive waterfall into an endless void, was completely gone. Instead, a serene, crystal-clear lake shimmered softly in its place, with lush green lands extending in all directions, stretching far beyond our vision. Towering mountain ranges rose beautifully on the distant horizon, forests of golden trees glowed warmly under the gentle sun, and expansive meadows filled with vibrant flowers stretched out to meet the endless blue sky.
Hela gasped sharply, staring around in wide-eyed astonishment as her entire perception changed in an instant. I watched her carefully, feeling deep pride as I saw the moment she realized exactly what I'd done. She visibly shivered, her eyes widening further as an immensely powerful connection surged instantly through her, bonding her soul to the reborn Planet Asgard itself.
"Layla…" she whispered shakily, her voice trembling with disbelief and wonder. Her eyes turned toward me, shimmering brightly with unshed tears of joy. "You didn't—this can't be real…"
I stepped closer, gently taking her trembling hands into mine. "It's completely real, my love," I said warmly, squeezing her fingers reassuringly. "I've fully restored Planet Asgard exactly as it was before Odin's war with the Celestials. It's yours, Hela. Your kingdom has returned in all its glory—and now, as Queen, you're directly connected to it. Forever."
Hela's mouth hung open in stunned silence, her chest rising and falling rapidly as overwhelming emotions crashed through her. Finally, tears spilled freely down her pale cheeks. With surprising strength, she cupped my cheeks between her hands and pulled me into an intense, passionate kiss. Our lips pressed together fiercely, her desperate gratitude and overwhelming happiness pouring into the kiss.
When Hela finally pulled away slightly, panting heavily, she stared deeply into my eyes, shaking her head in wonder. "Layla… this is the most incredible surprise anyone has ever given me," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I can't believe you did this for me."
I gave her a cheeky grin, playfully winking at her. "Oh trust me—it's only the best surprise so far."
Her eyes widened in renewed surprise. "What else could you possibly have planned?"
I simply smiled mysteriously, gently taking her shoulders and turning her toward the horizon, pointing toward the newly expanded Bifrost bridge in the distance. Hela gasped again when she saw it clearly.
The rainbow-colored bridge now stretched beautifully outward from the city gates, significantly wider and more radiant than ever before. Set atop its surface were hundreds upon hundreds of comfortable, ornate chairs, each one already filled by familiar faces.
The citizens of Asgard—both warriors and ordinary people alike—sat in excited anticipation. Beside them were our beloved friends and family members from across Earth and the other worlds I'd visited. Michael, Gabriel, and Azazel sat front and center among my fellow angel siblings, their faces glowing with pride and joy. All of my children were there next to them, looking excited and very happy.
Yasaka, Sif, Natasha, Rias, Sona, Artemis, Serafall, Carol, Unohana, and Trihexa were standing in two groups of 5. Both of them on each side, they were going to act as bridesmaids. Standing in between them, the one who would be officiating the ceremony was Lady Death.
"Layla," Hela breathed softly, trembling in awe and disbelief. "Is that…?"
I nodded eagerly, "Let's get married, Hela. Right here, right now! Before everyone we know and love!"
She stared silently, her entire body trembling with overwhelming emotion, her emerald eyes flooding again with joyous tears. Her radiant smile finally broke through as she took a deep breath, squeezing my hands fiercely.
"Yes," she whispered firmly, passionately. "Gods above and below, Layla—yes, let's do it. Let's finally be married!"
"And then tonight we can have a big celebration orgy with the entire harem!" I added with an excited grin.
[Yep… Of course that's how it will end…]
