Gizin had already destroyed a massive portion of the Underside. His attack came down like a heavenly beam from the sky, ripping through the ceiling of the cavern and smashing directly into the ground. Everything around him had collapsed, stone, metal, homes, bridges, all reduced to rubble. The entire area had become a crater.
The light pouring down from above created a spotlight that illuminated everything.
It felt like the heavens themselves were watching.
And standing in that field of destruction were two figures, Raze and Gizin, facing each other at the center of the devastation.
'He's confident… unbelievably confident,' Raze thought, narrowing his eyes. 'And that power he used with his walking stick earlier… I'm sure of it.'
"What's the matter?" Gizin asked, smiling wide, almost too wide. His voice was filled with amusement, as if none of this destruction meant anything to him. "Did you think you were the only one with a particular edge?"
He spun his walking stick once.
