Shango has already been supplied with cultivation materials to begin his cultivation journey. For humans, cultivating is a way to gain enlightenment about the world and live longer than humans who don't cultivate. It is stepping into the immortal realm and as such, they can live for a few thousand years unlike gods who could live for millionennium of years, that being said, Shango who is seeking for the peak of martial doa which brings longevity but unknowingly to him, his god linage which was sealed would slowly unseal the more he cultivates.
Shango sets of to the sect's library to get scrolls on instructions to cultivate the martialspiritrealm and a skill to learn. Outer disciples are only allowed on the first and second floor while inner disciples are allowed to go to the 3rd to 5th floor and so Shango got the cultivation scroll from the first floor and then went to the second floor because he couldn't see a skill that intrigued him, he went deep into the second floor and saw a dusty scroll with the inscription "unyieldingspirit" on it and took it to cultivate.
He finally has taken the first step, Shango followed the instructions to first to feel the chi in his Dantian while gathering chi from his upper dantian to his lower dantian and circulating it like a river flowing to and fro from his Lower dantian to upper dantain, while doing this, Shango had an idea to modify the cultivation method as not only did he gather chi from his body but also from his surroundings then refined his chi and directed it to open up all his meridians and chi points then he kept on gathering chi to conserve, he did this for 5 days without rest noticing his chi reserve is massive, in 5 days he gathered chi worth 40 years and stored this chi in his dantian which he used to cultivate yin-yang ☯ energy, this loosened the seal on heaven's authority a bit. While doing so he vomited impurities which loosened some of the seals placed in him, not just heaven's authority, he just stepped into the Martialspirit realm, each realm has 7 stages before advancing to the next stage. Shango got up after cultivating for 5 days to wash up and eat then he went to look for elder Achinike who he wanted to ask for advice only to be blocked by Sani who made a scene and tried to embarrass and beat up Shango.

Sani feeling very prideful, he allows Shango to have the first move, Shango took him up on his offer and launched a punch with incredible speed, the speed and power weren't that of one in the martial spirit re realm and this shocked everyone, they wondered if that was the speed of someone at martial spirit realm because not even a bone refining realm master could have such speed, Sani couldn't react to the attack and ended up receiving the blow to his stomach, sending him flying out of the ring, everyone was astonished and awed by what just happened. Some started looking at Shango from a different perspective while some remained ignorant.

Everyone was stunned. For the next few minutes nothing happened, Sani who was passed out then woken up by his minions, struggled to get up and was being persistent saying he didn't lose, the elders declared Shango the winner but Sani enraged couldn't agree then tried a sneak attack on Shango as he was leaving the arena but Shango was faster and more perspective so he reacted quickly, dodging the attack while kicking Sani away, Shango's leg kicking Sani's head in midair which sent him out of the ring for the second time and leaving Sani's head swollen and ear bleeding which made him fall unconscious from the impact. Shango then tells the elders about the agreement they had and tells Sani's minions that if he wakes up they should tell him to bring his reward to him or his dantian will be destroyed if he comes get it himself, everyone had nothing to say while watching Shango leave the scene.
When elder Achinike got back and heard of what happened, the next day he went to visit Shango who was already being visited by Sani's Minions because they brought the reward as Sani couldn't get up from infirmary, then they left after giving him the reward. When the elder got there Shango was already cultivating with the jade bottle and pill he got so the elder waited till he was done. While cultivating, Shango cultivated for 50hrs and broke 4 stages which petrified the elder, he wondered what kind of monster this child was. He questioned the existence of this boy for awhile but had no choice but to wait for Shango to consolidate his foundation then he told Shango why he came. He said he came for two reasons, one was to know Shango's origin and the second was to take him to celes mountain to train for 9yrs because he heard Shango was interested in getting into the inner sect, Shango told him about his background, he was given birth by his parents, Shango didn't know who he really was as he believed his adoptive parents were his biological parents but Elder Achinike had doubts but decided to leave the topic and told him the 2nd reason is to train him for 9yrs. In 9 years he'll be 16 and will be old enough to challenge the inner sect disciples to get in after winning the grand competition coming soon, all African sects will be participating and the elder saw Shango was a promising child so he believed 9yrs was enough time for Shango to get strong enough to challenge for top 20 inner sect disciples after winning the grand competition coming 9yrs from now, he explained everything and Shango agreed. The elder told him to get the things he wants to take along ready that he'll be back in three days time and then the elder left.
