That curved smile of his and twinkling eyes. Things I'd once loved about him, only to discover the darkness behind them, a darkness I couldn't see because I was too blind in love with him.
Now, staring at those eyes and smile made goosebumps trail up my skin and definitely not in a good. I don't utter anything in response and simply forced a smile. I nodded at the lady behind the counter who was waiting for any kind of response from me in regards to Drey's words.
"Go on," Drey said, too close for comfort as his breath fanned the base of my neck. Our height difference wasn't as much as it was with Lorenzo, so he didn't have to lean down for me to feel his breath.
Gulping and trying to act unaffected by his presence even if I knew it was a bullshit act hence from the emotion dancing in his dark irises, it was clear he noticed and was enjoying it.
