He dragged her out to a pharmacy, which was about to close. Seeing the two, the waiter said, "What would you two guests like to buy?"
"Is the doctor in?" Fu Chou asked.
"Doctor Wang is here, but it's late today, and he isn't seeing any patients." The waiter wanted to say more.
Fu Chou interrupted him, "Ask Doctor Wang to check her pulse. It won't take much time."
An old doctor, about fifty years old, walked out from the inner part of the pharmacy. "So it's Housekeeper Fu."
Fu Chou pointed at Gongsun Qianru, "Doctor Wang, please check her pulse."
Doctor Wang didn't refuse, sat behind a table, and invited Gongsun Qianru to sit across from him, facing him. "Miss, please extend your wrist."
She complied.
To avoid suspicion, the doctor first covered her white wrist with a piece of white silk before carefully checking her pulse.
"How is it?" Fu Chou asked.
