Chapter 299 - If it was still the same

Because the sky was still dark, and the time that was shown by the grandfather clock that stood in one corner of her room pointed to nineteen to three. It was indeed too early to start the day for her.

However, as if not hearing Canillas speak to her, Joanna quickly pushed her body to sit on the bed after removing Canillas' hand from her waist. And that sudden movement made Canillas narrow his eyes before following to sit by her side.

"Why? What happened? Did you get hurt somewhere?" He asked in panic.

Those were the same questions that were spoken when he seemed to be in a panic. Joanna thought as she smiled to herself. "No, I am fine," she replied, moving to sit on the edge of the bed. "You can sleep more if you want to. I have something to do," she said while slipping her feet into her slippers.
