Chapter 24 - Chapter 23: What is this stranger looking for in my world?

Wamy thought to himself:

"Hm... yes, this is better."

He found himself hoping the conflict with Erasa wouldn't happen, that they could simply talk and move on.

He then extended his perception, scanning the surroundings in search of Erasa.

Then, suddenly, he stopped, his eyes shining with excitement.

He had just located her. She had created a world of her own-much smaller than those of other entities, true, but a world nonetheless.

A shiver ran through Wamy. A slightly psychopathic smile stretched across his lips.

In this autonomous reality, on a planet similar to Earth, Erasa sat in majesty.

Thousands of humans worshipped her as a goddess. They sang her praises, radiating happiness.

Seated on an imposing throne, a glass of red wine in hand, Erasa watched the scene, a sly smile on her lips.

She accepted the offerings presented to her, promising her followers a rich and fulfilling life.

But the atmosphere suddenly shifted.

Her smile faded.

Wamy had just appeared.

She narrowed her eyes, wary.

Erasa: "Who is that? What is he doing here? Hmm... maybe if I ignore him, he'll go away on his own."

Wamy looked her up and down, then declared in an admiring tone:

Wamy: "Wow... she really looks like my favorite goddess. I think I'm falling in love."

He placed a hand on his chest, gazed dreamily at the sky. His red eyes shone, clear.

Erasa looked away, feigning indifference:

Erasa: "Hmm... Maybe he's just lost, after all."

Wamy approached, calm, while Erasa remained still, still seated, pretending not to see him.

Without a word, Wamy silenced the crowd with a simple invisible gesture. The humans knelt in silence-all except Erasa.

Erasa: "Who are you? Do you want to steal my kingdom? Try, and I'll slit your throat."

Wamy didn't answer right away. He observed the human faces frozen in fear and thought:

(What a strange feeling, this sovereignty.)

Erasa: "Hey, stranger! I'm talking to you!"

Wamy replied in a calm voice:

Wamy: "I'm not here for your kingdom, nor for your world. I just want you to stop attacking the gods. You insult a deity simply because she looks like you, my goddess, Mü Thanatos."

Erasa raised an eyebrow, annoyed.

Erasa: "Mü Thanatos? I don't know who you're talking about. Get lost."

She turned away from him, resuming the collection of offerings.

Erasa: "Now I understand. You're a foreigner. Leave before death catches up with you."

Wamy stepped closer, his tone sharper:

Wamy: "You're a foreigner too. When you cross worlds, you're no longer in a position to give orders."

Erasa, impassive, continued tending to her followers, not sparing him a glance.

Annoyed, Wamy stopped smiling. His face turned serious. He vanished... then instantly reappeared behind her, gently placing a hand on her shoulder.

She didn't even flinch.

Erasa: "Remove your hand."

Before he could answer, Wamy was hurled backward, head over heels in space.

Erasa had slapped him so fast that even he hadn't anticipated it.

In space, upside down, Wamy opened his eyes, grimaced slightly, and muttered:

Wamy: "Why do I always end up in comic scenes?"

Meanwhile, on her throne, Erasa looked up at the sky, thoughtful:

(I doubt that attack was enough to kill him... and types like him are always so tenacious. Pfff.)

Her followers, having seen nothing of what had just happened, only noticed Wamy's sudden disappearance. They cheered their deity, convinced she had annihilated him.

Erasa smiled and declared:

Erasa: "Whether he's strong or not, this world is shaped by my desires. It's nothing like the others. Here, everything favors me. That poor guy is seriously going to regret coming."

She raised her arms to the sky. Around her, the enthusiastic cries of her followers echoed, filled with gratitude for all she had given them.

Erasa: "Enjoy yourselves as if it were the last time, my friends!"

Then she turned and confidently returned to her throne.

But Wamy reappeared at once, his face now deeply serious.

Erasa watched him and thought inwardly:

(I suspected he'd withstand the attack... but still, it's not that impressive.)

Wamy advanced with elegance, adjusting his gloves adorned with the same symbols as Mü Thanatos' hand. His eyes sparkled with controlled brilliance. He closed his eyes for a moment and declared:

Wamy: "Well, Erasa... I sincerely hoped to convince you with words. But I see I have no choice left."

Silence fell over the crowd. Not a sound disturbed the air.

Erasa, intrigued, asked:

Erasa: "What are you talking about?"

Wamy replied, in a grave tone:

Wamy: "My goddess gave me a message: stop attacking the gods. Because now, they want to accuse her. I preferred to speak to you gently, but it seems the only way to make you listen... is by force."

Erasa burst out laughing, mocking-but her laughter stopped abruptly when she felt Wamy's palm land on her head, forcing her to bend until she touched the ground.

Her mind reeled, incredulous.

Erasa (inwardly): (How is this possible? He can't control me! I have my hastou... it's impossible!)

Wamy leaned to her ear and whispered:

Wamy: "Look at your subjects. See how they look at you now. They can't believe their eyes. Their all-powerful goddess, in a posture of submission... or rather, weakness."

Erasa looked up at the crowd. In her followers' faces, she read a mix of fear and incomprehension. This sparked a boiling anger within her.

Erasa: "No... it's impossible!"

With a sudden movement, she broke free from Wamy's grip and tried to hit him in rage.

But Wamy, still calm, dodged the blow gracefully. His smile widened, elegant and almost provocative.

Then, suddenly, he grabbed Erasa by the face and hurled her violently into space.

He glanced at the crowd frozen in terror, closed his eyes, then gave them a cute, almost childlike smile, as if to say (^ ^).

Wamy: "I'll borrow this for a few minutes, forgive me."

And he flew off as well, straight into space.

In space, Erasa was plunged into deep confusion.

Erasa: "I still don't understand what's going on!"

She held her face in her hands, stunned.

Erasa: "How is this possible? It's unbelievable..."

Suddenly, Wamy reappeared before her, wearing a mischievous smile.

Erasa: "Hey, you!"

Wamy, mockingly: "Yes? Do you want something?"

Erasa: "Do you know the hastou? It's a source of energy I created myself in this world. I gave it to all creatures... except you. Where do you come from, anyway?"

Wamy shrugged, looking relaxed.

Wamy: "It's simple. I too am a reflection of divine powers."

Erasa: "And what does that mean?"

Wamy: "That I exert passive control over all forms of energy. But tell me... do you know non-dimensional beings? They are entities far beyond anything that exists here. They are your creators, your sovereigns. And I'm lucky enough to come from there. Don't you find that fascinating?"

Erasa rolled her eyes, annoyed.

Erasa: "Pfff... I don't understand everything, but whatever."

She then thought silently:

(During my journey in the world of myths, I learned everything. Absolutely everything. The structure of the gigantic dimension, its laws, its ramifications... nothing escapes me. And yet, this guy comes out of nowhere. He's clearly not ordinary.)

She closed her eyes for a moment, searching for a strategy. Then reopened them, determined.

Erasa: "Very well!"

She took a combat stance.

Erasa: "Whatever you say, you just humiliated me in front of my subjects."

Wamy started laughing, genuinely amused.

Wamy: "Your subjects? Those you snatched from existence? Why not create one yourself, if you're so powerful?"

Erasa immediately lost her temper.

Erasa: "What do you know about it? It's none of your business, idiot! You humiliated me... and I'll make you pay dearly for it!"

She launched a lightning-fast punch, saturated with rage. The power released was such that thousands of stars were extinguished instantly, plunging an entire portion of the galaxy into emptiness. Wamy dodged the blow with disconcerting nonchalance.

Erasa followed up with a volley of blue spiritual flames, slicing through space with supernatural intensity. But Wamy kept dodging every attack effortlessly, as if he were dancing.

Then, Erasa changed strategy.

Erasa: "Aqueous Eradication."

A thick cloud of vapor formed in the universe, consuming everything it touched-matter, concepts, principles... nothing resisted. A corrosive, almost metaphysical mist.

Wamy, unfazed, inhaled it all, leaving only a heavy silence behind.

A smile appeared on Erasa's face.

Erasa: "Not bad. It's time to get serious, don't you think?"

Wamy looked at his fingers, almost distractedly, and replied:

Wamy: "I'm just waiting for you to motivate me. You're not yet at the level for me to fight seriously. That's a shame."

Meanwhile, Mü Thanatos was heading to a crucial meeting alongside Zeus. Their journey took them to a completely unknown place, a space outside the world as he knew it.

Intrigued, Mü Thanatos calmly asked Zeus:

What is this place? Why have I never seen it before?

Zeus replied in a calm tone:

This world was created especially for this meeting. Neither the gods nor their sons can access it normally without permission. Their mere presence would be enough to erase everything, to alter, even to annihilate all we know.

Mü Thanatos nodded, understanding the gravity of these words.

I see.

Suddenly, a voice rang out, coming from nowhere:

You're late!

A being appeared immediately after, so bright that he illuminated the entire celestial world they were in.

It was the Son of God.

Mü Thanatos couldn't help but wonder inwardly:

(Why does he appear like this? Is it his avatar? Or his primordial form?)

With assurance, the Son of God declared:

For this occasion, I have taken my only true form. Unlike you.

Mü Thanatos felt a wave of energy wash over him, emanating effortlessly from this divine entity.

(He is overwhelmingly powerful... How can he radiate so much without even acting?)
