Chapter 221 - The Final Fight Approaches

Space shattered like glass and the flow of time went haywire. From this day henceforth, this part of the sanctuary would become a danger zone with temporal faults and spatial cracks, dangerous to even Super Creatures and Emperor spirits.

"Damn!"

Bian cursed as his body ached. Thanks to Nightmare and its empty powers, most of the force of Tyrant's attack went through them.

Still, Tyrant was a monster who used brute force to break reason. Even without its weird powers that appeared when it got injured, its full power swing was not something that could be avoided with empty powers alone.

This was still under the premise that Tyrant struck to defend them, meaning they were hit by the aftereffect and not a direct blow.

No, compared to those directly targeted, Bian, Han Yan and Nightmare were incredibly lucky.

There was not a complete part anywhere. Talons, organs and broken life essences were strewn about randomly.

Some were stuck in areas of frozen time while others fell through space cracks, disappearing through the void.

Looking at Tyrant who could shatter space and time with his ultimate attack, Bian suddenly felt aggrieved by the laws of the sanctuary.

Tyrant was obviously stronger than him, especially since his super geno points were practically empty. However, the sanctuaries didn't seem to mind at all.

'Although he's obscenely strong, he didn't break any of the rules.'

Bian could only sigh and pick up the scattered life essences, even those in temporal regions couldn't restrict the empty powers of Nightmare.

Aside from the fragments that fell into space cracks and were gone forever, the rest were thrown into the Super Cauldron and they hurriedly left this forbidden zone.

"I wonder if future generations will come here searching for those geno cores as treasures."

"Yeah, this area will definitely have its own lore as a place where even Emperor spirits dare not enter casually."

Due to having enough equipment already, Bian didn't bother going after the geno cores, many of which were damaged and broken.

They soon left the forbidden zone and Bian was able to bring up two more of Han Yan's geno cores to super class, leaving only one more.

"How is the shelter?"

Han Yan hurriedly asked, aware that their commotion would have alerted them.

"It's late, the creatures and spirits ran as soon as the explosion occurred. We don't have to worry though. The total fragments in the cauldron right now are about equal to the life essence of ten super creatures. With the very rare items left behind in the treasury, it's just enough to ensure I can max out my super genes at once."

This time, they had gathered exclusive items to prepare Six Paths Emperor against him. Their plan almost succeeded too, posing a fatal threat against Bian and Han Yan if not for Tyrant.

'I still need to be careful in here. Different kinds of enemies with different weird skills.'

The realization was sobering, but not too disheartening. Soon, Bian arrived at the shelter which was almost desolate, save for some mutant and below-ranked small fries, which he couldn't even be bothered to look at.

He phased into the different hidden treasuries across the shelter. Life fruits of all shapes and sizes were tossed into the cauldron.

Be it a golden apple, white divine grapes or ginseng. Some of these fruits had been growing for hundreds of thousands of years, easily tossed into the cauldron.

If it could refine it, it could bring out the best quality in them. This time though, Bian didn't plan on refining everything separately.

No, he controlled the Super Cauldron to refine them all into one single pill. It would take longer this way, but it would also allow him to max out his points in one go and hopefully evolve peacefully.

"What a wonderful day, the gains are so much." Han Yan giggled, the pains of spirit swords had brought back some painful memories, but healing couldn't happen in isolation.

"They even packaged themselves together." Even Bian joined her in laughter, relaxing his heart and greatly improving his mood.

The rest of the week was quite mundane. Bian made sure to enter the sanctuaries every day, farming points for Han Yan to max out her last geno core.

Additionally, the baptism of the Black Crystal finally came to a stop, adding the Story of Genes to Bian's arsenal.

Unfortunately, the strain on Han Yan became more and more apparent. The only conclusion was that the two Executioners were looking for them in tandem.

In response to this, Bian and Han Yan opted to live separate from their families and son. They chose a desolate planet in another star system as their home, living off the basic necessities with a teleporter installed.

Bian took Han Yan to a shelter near an ancient ruin, before sending her Nightmare and his other beast souls.

Han Yan no longer bothered to interfere with the universal karma. She had built up enough karma debt, which would be detrimental if not fatal if it kept growing.

"Tomorrow I will swallow the universal super pill, max out my super genes and evolve past a demigod."

This decision wasn't made randomly, they had discussed the repercussions of dual evolution.

Immediately after evolving past a demigod, they would be weak for some time before regaining their strength and with enough effort, being able to form a geno armor and exit the sanctuaries.

Unfortunately the natural exit to the sanctuaries was into a dead zone outside, where the strongest powerhouse of the geno universe, Sacred, was destroyed.

The area was so harrowing, deified xenogeneics moved about freely. They who had just evolved, wouldn't even be barons, the weakest tier.

A simple sneeze from one of those creatures would be enough to wipe them out entirely.

When Han Yan asked if there was no way around it, Bian explained how they could use the nine life cat to safely exit the sanctuaries.

The shelter he had taken her to belonged to Blood Legion and only she who had the Blood Pulse Sutra could enter, explore and find Old Cat.

Still, to protect against the Executioners, it would only be wise if one of them evolved first.

Then after a period of weakness, they would eventually gain strength greater than a demigod.

That way, just as how Bian thoroughly eliminated Executioner Yellow with overwhelming strength, he hoped to do the same to Executioner Red and Black.

It was a solid plan, one that gave them hope for the future and would finally remove the looming sword above their heads which was the Executioners.

While Bian and Han Yan were eating dinner though, chatting through a commlink to see their son, their expressions changed immediately.

Both of them had the Dongxuan Sutra, its radius easily covering the entire planet. A fly couldn't land on this planet without them being aware, much less a person teleporting to their living room.

More importantly, this person had a geno armor on, clearly spelling trouble.

"Kill!"

Han Yan summoned a beautiful blade that lacked any form of power, yet her swing was anything but ordinary.

Just before she could complete a full arc though, a hand reached out to stop her.

"Wait, I don't think you should attack him." Bian hurriedly stopped her.

The figure approached the room and slowly opened the door, revealing a middle-aged man with black hair and features somewhat similar to Han Yan and Han Sen.

Han Yan gasped in shock, clearly surprised by who she saw. She couldn't be mistaken, this person was her dad who had "died" a long time ago.

"Han Yufei right?"

Bian smiled and extended his arm.

The old man was also a little shocked Bian knew who he was. While he shook his hand, his gaze remained on Han Yan.

'Well this is awkward.'

Bian quietly stepped aside and leaned against the wall, giving father and daughter a proper chance to reconnect after such a long time spent apart.

"That geno armor, you're a member of the New Community?"

Actually Han Yan more or less knew her dad was alive, she was mainly shocked that he had geno armor and seemed to be quite powerful.

"The chairman actually and I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but there's no time for that."

Bian perked up his ears.

"Those two guys hunting you down, the one with fire powers, he just evolved."

"What!"

Bian cried out, he knew Executioner Red had been far ahead of the others, but he didn't expect him to evolve before him.

"Yes, we could barely handle him as he was, once he stabilises his abilities, he could become unstoppable. We need your help in taking him down."

Han Yufei said with a grim look.

"You know where he is?"

Han Yan asked.

He nodded solemnly and added, "we've cornered him before, but we could not kill him. I'm the only one that knows he is tracking you, so I came here to find out why. Maybe you have a way to kill this guy."

"He can't die?"

Bian thought of how Executioner White's powers would have boosted his regeneration. However, those were surpasser powers working on a demigod. It shouldn't make him unkillable.

"Yes, he can create mini-suns and his body is like a living fire. No matter how much we destroy it, the fire can just reform itself."

Hearing this a troubled look reflected in the couple's eyes.

"A body made of fire, how do you destroy that."

"It is pretty unreasonable, hmm, unreasonable."

Bian stroked his chin as an idea came to mind. Tyrant released black powers when injured which broke reason with brute force, maybe this could be what they needed to kill Executioner Red.

Even if the chance was small, they had to act now while he was weak after evolution before he could get any stronger.

"I have an idea that might work."
