"Miss Ward is right," Anna replied coldly, taking over from Jeanette Warren; "Chris and I grew up without a mother just fine. Did you really need to come looking for me?"
"Anna, regardless of what you say, I am always the mother of you and Chris. I've been very busy before, and I just finished that recently, finally having some time..."
"How coincidental. You had no time before and no time after, but just happen to have time when the Osborne Family announced my thirty percent of stocks?" Anna's mouth curled in scorn, sneering at Jeanette's words.
Jeanette's face darkened slightly, and she immediately shouted in fury, "Anna, what do you mean by that? Do I look like someone who needs money?"
