"I've never said I was a fool," Anna Ainsworth's calm voice rang out at the restaurant doorway.
Emma Osborne was slightly startled and turned around, only then noticing Anna had already reached the doorway and was walking towards their table.
"Did you come here on purpose?" Emma stared at Anna and asked directly.
She wasn't stupid. If meeting Felicity Lambert at the airport was by chance, then Anna's recent arrival definitely wasn't. She guessed Felicity must have informed her.
"Yes, I heard you're flying overseas, so I rushed over to see you off," Anna said forthrightly, looking at Emma, "Do you plan to leave empty-handed like this?"
