Grace Caddel instinctively took two steps back, at school, teachers always taught to be highly vigilant when proactively approached by a stranger.
As a precaution against being deceived.
As the older sister, Sophie Foster immediately saw through the little girl's thoughts, stood still, and rather than continue walking forward, she meandered and asked:
"Do you want to replace Clarissa Lindsey and participate in the art competition?"
"...Yes."
Grace Caddel squeezed out a single word after a long pause, blinking her eyes in confusion, and asked, "How do you know my secret wish?"
"Your sister knows a lot more."
Seeing that she had lowered her guard, Sophie Foster slowly began to walk forward, speaking as she moved, "Clarissa Lindsey didn't keep her promise to give you the competition spot, right?"
Grace Caddel's small face was filled with disbelief.
This matter, shouldn't it be known only between her and Clarissa Lindsey?
