When the doctor was examining Matilda Jenkins, Scarlett Glenn gently tugged at Nicole's sleeve, made a gesture, and quietly left the room.
Outside in the hallway, Scarlett whispered, "Dr. Serene, I have a favor to ask, please don't mention Nathaniel York's name in front of Milly."
Dr. Serene was surprised: "What's wrong? It couldn't be... a heartbreak, could it? I've said before that Nathaniel York is bad to the core, not a good person... and how could someone as naive as Matilda outplay him."
Scarlett let out a sigh: "No, it's not that, he was very good, devoted to Milly wholeheartedly, it's just... he's dead..."
