Nell Harris paused, and upon seeing the gaze of Arnold Glenn not far across from her, she immediately understood Dylan Young's implication.
She looked up and gave him a slight smile, which finally dissipated some of the fire in Dylan Young's heart.
Dylan Young glared at the leering eyes of Arnold Glenn and almost wanted to dig them out.
What are you looking at? Keep looking and see if I won't blind you too.
Arnold Glenn stared at Nell Harris, dumbfounded, completely forgetting what he wanted to say or do. He had always known Nell Harris was beautiful; he wouldn't have agreed to the marriage back then if she wasn't attractive.
However, a countryside girl, no matter how pretty, couldn't match the charm of a city woman, nor compete with the wealth of city women. Coupled with Nell Harris being too young back then, both physically and in appearance too raw and unripe, Arnold Glenn's interest in her couldn't compare to that in Rini York from the city.
