Zheng Qing, naturally not less polite than a little fox, hesitated for a few seconds. Before crossing the creek to enter No. 54 yard, he casually greeted Su Ya in the creek:
"Good evening!"
Su Ya supported her waist and stood up straight from the creek, letting the clear water flow between her legs while she glanced sideways at the young scholarship student and replied stiffly, "Not good."
The smile hanging on Zheng Qing's face became slightly awkward.
This response caught him a bit off guard.
But immediately, he thought of a smoothing remark: "Hmm... busy, huh?"
"Are you blind? Am I washing my feet in the creek at night?"
The little fox lady mocked him and then lowered her head, pretending to mumble softly yet very clearly, "Don't know why Miss wants this scum to come to the mansion... I'll have to stay up late tonight to scrub the floor again... wasting lamp oil."
Zheng Qing stopped walking.
He needed to prove he wasn't a scum.
"Staying up late to scrub the floor?"
