That being said he saw the nine tailed Fox rampaging about, destroying houses and possibly killing civilians who couldn't make it to the emergency shelter.
'This can't continue....' The blade of Chiba's was locked into a seemingly never ending struggle with Kisames, when suddenly Chiba's blade phased out of existence!
Not giving up on this chance, Kisame sentient blade Samehada bit down deep into Chiba's neck as a sadistic smile bloomed on the shark like mans face.
Unlike the shrieks of pain and flailing struggle that Kisame expected out of Chiba, Chiba simply stood there unbothered by the sword sucking on him as Kisames smiled quickly turned into a frown.
With Samehada latched onto Chiba, streams of chakra should be drained out of him and absorbed by the sword, but Kisame could only watch in surprise as the blade continued biting down on Chiba neck but couldn't get a drop of Chakra from the ninja!
Thats when Chiba slowly raising his hand up, the sentient sword detached from his neck and it immediately turned around to bite at Kisame!
Biting down in his forearm, Kisames eyes widened in surprise as he quickly ripped the sword off of him and threw it, taking a large amounts of chakra away from him.
"What the hell did you do to my sword!" Kisame yelled out, quickly using a bandage to stop the bleeding
Chiba didn't answer his question as the sentient sword slowly wiggled it's way over to him like a snake, shaking at his feet like a misbehaved dog.
When the sword latched onto his neck, Instead of receiving the chakra that the sword expected, Chiba poured copious amounts of blood into the sword, blood that Chiba was still in control of even now!
Chiba had control over every inch of his body and can give it orders once seperated from his body. Right now, the blade called Samehada was just a puppet on Chiba's string as he was now in completely control of it!
"Ill have to kill you now" This blunt threat, Sasori's defeat, alongside Chiba's sad attitude seemed to finally make Kisame realize just how strong Chiba was.
Picking up the sword that was obviously distraught at being welding by a person he considered an enemy moments ago, Chiba pointed the wiggling Samehada at the shark man.
Kisame quickly pulled out a kunai knife and was prepared to attack Chiba to regain Samehada, but stopped as he saw dozens of leaf ninja flickering in rooftops towards him.
Even if Kisame could somehow defeat Chiba and take back his sword, there was absolutely no way hed be able to escape afterwards.
"I'll be back for my blade!" Kisame said through gritted teeth before turning tail and running away under the chaos the Nine tails was creating. Chiba was going to kill the man but it was easier this way, he didnt have any time to waste under Kurama's massacre.
Turning around to look at a seventh tail beginning to emerge from Kurama, small bits of bone have begun manifesting on the mass of sentient chakra! Black and blue orbs began manifesting into its mouth, preparing a tailed beast bomb!
'Thank god it was Kisame who was sent here, without Samehada I would've had to do something drastic to stop this.' Biting down on the handle of Samehada, Chiba lifted his two hands into the air...

"Medical Ninja have confirmed Third hokage is dead! He was last seen performing the Death Reaper Seal on Orochimaru!" A masked ninja said to the grey haired Kakashi.
Blood was splattered all over Kakashi, bags could be seen under his eyes as the Ninja was obviously worn out but his eyes shined with determination.
Hearing the death of the Hokage Kakashi's eye widened in shock, the shock of subsided as Kakashi let outba deep breath. With a face full of stoicism, Kakashi had to take lead as he was third in command after Hirizen.
Danzo was the second in command but he was nowhere to be seen, most likely hiding out underground and waiting for this to settle down so he could capitalize on this attack.
"What's the status report?" Kakashi said as he looked at the rampaging tailed beast destroying houses with a swipe of his tail. He was surrounded on all side by leaf Shinobi, some being clan patriarchs and some being regular Jonin Ninja.
"The Sunagakure have issued a full retreat, only the heavily wounded of them remain. Orochimaru seems to have survived but sustaining a crippling injury, and one of his two compatriots wearing the red cloud is dead, the other with shark features was seen running away." The masked ninja said.
"So all that remains in the nine railed fox we have to deal with...." Kakashi said full of dread and zero confidence.
'The last time the tailed beast attacked we had the fourth hokage, third hokage, Jiraya, and all of Konoha's ninja to deal with it. Right now most of the leafs ninja have been injured, they have used up most of their chakra to defend the village. The third Hokage is dead, and the fourth Hokage is... How are we to deal with this?...'
"Issue a full retreat for our Ninja... Have them enter the emergancy shelters aswell. We'll just have to abandoned the tailed beast and hope it leaves the village after destroying it!"
'Im sorry Kushina, this is the only choice we have to deal with a rampaging tailed bea-' "What is going on!" The Hyuga patriarch, Hiashi Hyuga, said as he pointed into the sky
Following the ninjas pointer finger, Kakashi's eye widen in shock.
The sound of destruction had ceased, only the cries of the wounded now rang out but even they went silent as they watched the rampaging beast sudden begin to float into the air!
"T-this is just like all those years ago, when Orochimaru attempted to poison the village to escape!" Tsume Inuzuka, the Inuzuka clan patriarchs said as she was the first to put it together.
It wasn't just Kakashi and the ninja next to him who spotted it, every ninja in the village looked into the sky as they noticed a single human floating next to the levitating tailed beast.
