Though the waves of the Yangtze River push forward relentlessly, Zheng Zetian isn't destined to die on the beach just yet.
He is perceptive and insightful, comprehending much with a mere hint from the Sage.
The virtual moon might indeed be something crafted by those celestial demons, but the "gate" clearly is not.
According to Zheng Zetian's understanding, what the Sage refers to as the "gate" should be the virtual abyss, the Dao, a natural phenomenon eternal and ever-present in the universe.
This "gate" cannot be directly observed by the human eye; thus, the celestial demons created the virtual moon to "illuminate" the "gate."
Or, to put it more plainly,
as described by the Sage in "Introduction to Taisu," moonlight is essentially the reflection of sunlight by the moon. The light emitted by the virtual moon is naturally the reflection of energy radiation from the "gate," reflecting natural light frequencies detectable by the human eye.
