The Main Star Priest's withered hand clutched Rod's throat, and the intense spiritual energy made it impossible for him to breathe.
He tried to struggle, but the Main Star Priest's hand was as immovable as steel.
Rod knew something was wrong; his Resurrection Stone was already used up, and he hadn't had the chance to acquire a new one. He needed to use another card in his hand.
In a flash of thought, the "Undying Spirit" appeared in his palm.
But before he could use it, the Main Star Priest suddenly released him.
"Captain Eric, you're finally here."
A twisted, muddled voice emanated from his mouth.
"Let us fight side by side. The Great Star Defense Line is broken, the stars are dimmed, and the strangeness hidden within the Source Black Fog is eroding our kingdom. My eyes are blind, and without a companion, I hope you can become the starlight to guide my sword."
The change was so sudden that Rod couldn't react for a moment.
