Back on the ghost car to Tokyo Metropolis, Kanoya kept an eye on the status of the Kamaitachi family.
The two larger Kamaitachi, due to their injuries, curled up together to rest after being treated.
The smaller one, however, actively approached Kanoya.
"Ying ying."
The little Kamaitachi, with fur of a gentle cherry blossom hue, called softly. Its tail held a medicine jar, and its tiny paws lifted a soft bristled brush covered in ointment. Its round, dark eyes blinked, showing a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
"You want to apply medicine to me?"
Kanoya understood the little Kamaitachi's intention.
It lowered its fluffy head with a few more soft calls, the ceramic jar it held swaying gently with its tail.
"Well, thank you."
Kanoya accepted the little Kamaitachi's gesture of goodwill.
The soft bristled brush swept over the wounds, bringing a cool, tingling sensation, akin to the gentle licking of a docile creature's soft tongue.
