"It's Kaarik!" Helga shouted, looking up towards the boy standing on a huge dragon of his own.
Kaarik's POV
"The Red Death… Heh, it's a lot uglier in real life." I chuckled as I looked below toward the huge dragon below me.
It didn't take too long to get back to Berk. We could have gotten here faster if there had been storm clouds near us, but there weren't. It took at least a day for us to get back, and that was only because Indra used his lightning to boost his flight speed.
But imagine my surprise when I realized almost the entire village was gone. I immediately knew what was happening, and Indra and I rushed over as fast as we could.
'Though now that we're here.' A smirk crept onto my face as I knelt on Indra.
Tapping the side of Indra's head, he roared at the Red Death. Hearing this declaration of rebellion, the behemoth roared back at us.
"Give her a taste of lightning, Indra." With that said, lightning began to strike both of us, Indra more than me, but still.
Indra began shooting bolts of lightning, which struck the dragon. Indra had almost infinite ammo inside these storm clouds. As long as he didn't tire out, he could fire as long and as much as he wanted. Roaring in anger, the Red Death began opening its wings.
'Here it comes.' I thought as I watched the dragon begin to lift off the ground and into the air.
Flying farther into the sky, we hide in the clouds as we see the Red Death burst in from below, searching for us.
"You know what to do." I told Indra.
Immediately, he began to harness lightning. Spotting us, the Red Death spewed its flames toward us. Dodging, we started flying around it, firing shots of lightning constantly. Roaring in pain, it looks around trying to find where it was being attacked from.
The barrage of blasts continued as it roared in annoyance, firing streams of fire wildly into the clouds, hoping to hit whatever.
"You'll never catch us with that." I chuckled as Indra continued shooting the beast.
The roars of frustration and pain continued as we never let up our assault.
'This isn't working… we aren't doing enough damage to take it out.' I thought as we flew around it.
Then I remember something. Tapping Indra, I got him to stop firing at the Red Death.
"Get its attention."
Doing as I said, Indra flew in front of the dragon, catching its attention as it began to chase after us once more.
"Alright, Indra, charge up your lightning… and dive!"
Diving toward the ground, the Red Death chases after us, determined to end our persistent efforts. As we dive, the drive opens its mouth, green gas building inside as it gets ready to fire at us.
'Just like the movie.' I chuckled a little in my head.
Right as the dragon was about to fire, I shouted at Indra to fire. Spinning around, He blasts the charged lightning bolt into the dragon's mouth. The bolt rips through the dragon's insides. I could visibly see it exit out of its body, causing a strangled roar of pain.
Then it happened, the gas collected in its mouth exploded. As we rapidly approached the ground, the dragon attempted to spread its wings to slow its fall, but it was too late. It was falling too fast and could slow down in time.
On the other hand, Indra was perfectly capable of such a feat. Spreading his own wings, Indra quickly stopped his descent. Flying out of the way of the falling beast, we watched as it crashed into the ground headfirst before beginning to implode.
Unfortunately for the Vikings below, raining gore and viscera began falling from the sky. Flying down Kaarik joins the rest of the Vikings as they start cheering for him.
"Ugh, you guys should really take a bath." I said as I jumped down from Indra.
"He did it!" The Vikings cheered as they celebrated the battle we had just won.
