Chapter 110 - Chapter 109: Time for new jutsus (2)

Ken already knew a few water release jutsus that he was going to take.

He kept his grandpa's suggestion in mind of only taking jutsus that were not similar and would help him in different situations.

He scrolled through the library.

'Hmm, Hidden mist jutsu is a must.' Ken thought as he took the hidden mist jutsu scroll with him.

The hidden mist jutsu was definitely a versatile jutsu. It can lower the visual visibility of those with the Sharingan. And two of the most dangerous villains of Naruto verse have Sharingan.

Though Ken was not sure that hidden mist jutsu could help against either of them. Truth be told he wanted to have the hidden mist jutsu to trouble Itachi in their spars since he also had a sharingan. Besides, the jutsu can be a menace to those who are not sensors and can be very useful.

Ken had a few creative ideas about how he could creatively use this jutsu.

'If I am not wrong, hidden mist jutsu is somewhat a mixture of wind and water. The mist carries through the air while the mist itself is formed by water droplets. I can freeze people's lungs if they breathe the mist created by me. That would be so cool. I wonder why no Yuki has developed such a technique.' Ken thought excited at the prospects of creating and using such a jutsu.

He kept on scrolling the jutsu list where he found an interesting jutsu.

'Was not this the jutsu that the two mist chunins used on Team 7's mission to the Land of Water?' Ken thought as he read the Jutsu description.

'Water Release: Hiding in Water Jutsu

A technique that allows the user to fuse with water, even in water as shallow as a puddle. By doing so, the user can take advantage of their hidden presence and launch a surprise attack on their target.'

'It states that even a genin sensor will be able to detect the person using such a jutsu. A very terrible weakness in my opinion but I feel that this must be one of the components of Haku's ice mirror jutsu where he jumps inside the mirror. It would surely help me in creating the ice mirror jutsu and who knows even the simple version of it might come in handy someday.' Ken took the scroll in hopes of it helping him in the creation of his ice mirror jutsu.

He took the Water Clone jutsu. Ken was planning to have all elemental-type clone jutsus in his arsenal.

Ken did not choose the water prison technique since rubber ball jutsu was much better than it since it was much more resilient than the water prison jutsu and one could not breathe in a completely closed rubber ball either. But the one thing that made the rubber ball completely superior was that he did not need to keep a hand on the rubber ball to keep it functioning.

'This jutsu would help me with my Kenjutsu.' Ken thought as he read the description of the next jutsu.

'Water Release: Water Forge Technique

By gathering water around the user's sword, it generates a rapidly swirling stream. Once striking with it, it unleashes a strong surge of water to launch a target.' The Jutsu would cover his sword with water that rotated very fast.

Water Style: Water tentacles jutsu also impressed Ken. It creates a maximum of 8 water tentacles that a user can control at will. While it was only a C-rank jutsu, Ken could see a lot of potential in it. He would be the doctor Octopus of this world with the help of this jutsu.

'Now I want something that would work well with my lava release quicklime. It would help me create concrete easily with the help of a water jutsu. I won't have to keep storing water in scrolls.' Ken thought as he picked an attack jutsu that also creates and releases water in a specific direction.

'This should work.' Ken thought as he looked at the jutsu scroll in his hand.

'Water Release: Water Bullet Technique

the user expels a large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent aimed towards their intended target.'

'Wow, This jutsu sounds awesome and unlike any other water jutsu.' Ken got excited as he looked at the next jutsu 'Water Release: Hail'.

'The user gathers water into large clumps in the shape of massive orb-like formations and then drops them from the sky onto his opponents. The attack covers a large range, making it difficult to dodge. Each water droplet can punch through a tree. Jutsu is considered an A-rank jutsu.' As Ken read it, he became even more excited.

"Huh, why is an A-rank jutsu sitting here? Grandpa does not keep those ones here. Oh well, It is in the C rank jutsu section so it's a C rank." Ken mumbled as he secretly greedily pocketed the scroll.

'Hmm, That leaves me with only a defensive water-style jutsu. Water wall jutsu would work.' Ken picked the water wall jutsu scroll as his last scroll.

'I feel that these C-rank jutsus are much more helpful than the B-rank jutsus. While B rank jutsus are more destructive, the C rank jutsus gave me more versatility to deal with different situations.'

'Well, I should first learn all these jutsus before taking wind jutsus.' Ken thought as he created shadow clones to start learning the jutsus.
