While the city was completely destroyed due to the fight between Sorata and Sughi, Sorata walks up to Sughi, who was laying down with his robotic armour completely incinerated, and steps on his head. Sorata tells him, "I warned you that it was going to be your fault if you lost, didn't I? Now look at you, laying on the floor like a piece of trash."
Sughi, badly injured and defeated, then asks with his voice faint and weakened "Why are you doing this.... you bastard!", Sorata pauses for a second, and with a crazy smile on his face, yells in excitement, "I'm simply doing this just because I can! I was going to let you off the hook, but seeing you underestimate me, I couldn't help but wonder how your bones and skin would sound when they burn by the time I finish you off."
Sughi then monologues to himself, "This guy is insane. Although… he reminds me of how Kojin used to be back then when he first became a lord....", looked at Sorata closely "Those eyes of terror, that insane smile… he really is Kojin's son."
Sorata then charges up a huge amount of destructive energy on his arm and blasts it on Sughi, creating an explosion all over the city.
Meanwhile, in the underground prison where Zora (a member of the Dark Sign who was captured by Kojin three years ago) was staying, he asks himself, "How long have I been in here? It feels like forever… nah. It's probably been three years or so."
He continued to talk to himself "Three years, and Ukina hasn't broken me out of here. Looks like we didn't care about each other as a group."
Zora then begins to hear footsteps. He wonders "Who could that be?", he hears Sorata's voice saying, "Hey you, are you still alive in there?"
Zora looks at the gate of his prison cell and sees Sorata standing in front of him with a smirk on his face. Zora smirks back, saying, "Sorata, is that you? It was about time one of you bastards came to get me out of here."
Sorata responds, "Now now, that's not how you thank someone who came all this way to save your stupid ass."
Zora replies, "It's been three years. Why wouldn't I be annoyed? Couldn't you have rescued me sooner?"
Sorata replied, "We don't have time to talk. Now let's get moving."
Zora, annoyed, answers, "Oh I'm sorry, maybe it's because I'm in a freaking prison cell that prevents me from infusing energy!"
Sorata sighs "This is the reason why you were captured," he gathers destructive energy and blasts the prison cell open.
As Zora walks out, he stretches "Aaah! It's good to be back.". Sorata responds, "Let's get moving, we don't have all day. After this, I want to take a nap."
Zora smirked smugly "It looks like Ukina remembered me, so she sent you to get me out. I've been here for three years and none of you even considered helping me."
As Sorata walks away, he responded by saying "Take it as you see it. Let's go."
Zora sighs with a smug expression, "I thought we were a group that cared about each other… well it looks like we're just pawns instead."
As Zora and Sorata exit the underground prison and enter the destroyed city, Zora is a little amazed "What the hell happened here? It looks like the city got nuked."
Sorata snaps his fingers and a portal opens "Let's go, fool!".
Meanwhile, in the Lightning Nation, Alex and Kazuki were getting themselves beaten badly by Kuro as they were being slapped around the sky and sent flying straight into the ground.
As Alex and Kazuki try to get up, Kazuki notices Kuro's new form — an armour made of lightning with two wings created entirely out of lightning.
Kazuki tells Alex, "This guy's… completely outclassed us. Seriously, what the hell!"
Alex, struggling to stand thought to himself, "What the heck are we dealing with here? This guy just took a new form like he went Super Saiyan or something. I don't think I can keep up anymore. He's definitely still on B-rank level, but his power has increased like crazy. And hid speed, is he on steroids?!"
Kuro, flying above them, creates a sword made of lightning and points it toward them.
He explains, "You both have strength, I'll give you that. But neither of you is going to do anything to me."
He begins to charge up the lightning sword, causing lightning to continuously fall from the sky.
Kazuki says to Alex, "Looks like we both are done for, Alex. We've tried everything in our arsenal to compete with this guy, but it looks like he's gone off the hook."
As he turns to Alex, Kazuki was in shock on seeing Alex gritting his teeth in anger "DAMMIIIT!", he yelled in his head.
Alex then hears Diablo's voice In his head:
"Are you trying to give up now? What happened to what you said about becoming the strongest? If you really want to be truly strong, then you have to face anything and everything head-on."
Alex suddenly finds himself in a white void with Diablo standing in front of him.
He asks himself, "What the? Is this actually Diablo-sensei? Or am I hallucinating?"
Diablo tells him,
"I've always been watching you. I've observed how strong you've become, I've seen your determination, and I've seen how hard you tried. Go wild kid, and don't hold back. After all....", Diablo smirked with a head tilt "You do want to become a lord. Don't you?"
Alex snaps back from the vision — only to see a gigantic lightning sword flying toward him.
Suddenly, a massive amount of red demonic energy bursts out of Alex's body. This burst of power was so strong that it let out a terrifying screetch that deflected the giant sword of lightning that was shot at him and Kazuki. His entire body became red energy, black marks forming on his hands, and his hair turned into red power.
Kazuki was in shocked.
"What the hell?! How did he… when did he… have this much power?!"
