Chapter 38 - chapter 38

Eamon's heart sank as he returned from his journey alone, intending to share the news of his travels with the queen, Talisa. The sight of unfamiliar flags flying over House Whitefyre was a grim omen, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible had befallen his home.

Quietly and cautiously, he entered the castle, determined to check on his wife, Alycent, and Queen Talisa. What he discovered inside was a horrifying scene that filled him with a mix of grief and rage.

Queen Talisa had been killed for defending Lady Alycent and her young son, Baemor. Their lives had been brutally taken, and Eamon's heart ached as he found Lady Alycent's lifeless body, stripped naked, revealing the unspeakable horror she had endured. She had been raped by two of the Sylverian men who had invaded their home.

Overwhelmed by fury, Eamon tracked down the intruders, his sword gleaming with menace. With swift and precise strikes, he took down three of the Sylverian men on his own. The last one he forcefully ejected out the door and into the courtyard of the castle.

There, Eamon called for Vehmyr, his loyal steed, who swooped down to his side. Without a moment's hesitation, Eamon mounted Vehmyr and rode high into the sky, with the sylverian raper clenched in the claws of vehmyr. Eamon swooped down through the dense forest close by, keeping dangerously close to the treetops.

As they flew with incredible speed, the thick branches and thorns of the forest began to pierce the Sylverian man who had raped Alycent. The cruel and unforgiving forest took the intruder's life, turning him into a gruesome spectacle. Thick thorns had run through his body, making him resemble a human porcupine, he looked horrible even in death.

Eamon's vengeance was swift and brutal, and as he soared through the skies on Vehmyr's back, he vowed to bring justice to those who had brought such unspeakable suffering to his home and family.

As he got back to the house, he buried his wife and grandmother, then did his son come out of hiding

Eamon left the raided house behind taking his son baemor with and his dragon in search of a new abode.

Meanwhile on Eamon earlier travails, he had stationed each of the knights who rode with him with the whitefyre sigil in each of the houses they visited

They visited four lesser houses and were able to gather a total of 400 soldiers!

Although as quick witted as he was, he saw beyond and told them to act as if nothing had occurred between them as he also perceived Erevan's army to reach the lesser houses.

He told them should Erevan come knocking, they should swear fealty unto him under false pretense

But they should never forget where their loyalty lies, unto the house of king Gawain and his forefathers.

-"You're now lord of the far end" veltigar. Erevan made remarks back at the castle

"Thank you my king" I swear fealty to no one but you!

Being the royal whisperer, he requested a handful of soldiers to be stationed at the castle and that it also flies his house's flag.

Few months had passed since Eamon flew out on vehmyr with his son in search of a new home, where after a long flight, came across a house in the woods, the smoke from the chimney had created a form of notice to him that a person lived down there. He directed vehmyr towards the smoke and landed the beast a stone throw from the house.

Turns out it was the house mordred grew up in with the old knight.

"Hello, is anyone home?" Eamon cried out

As he was welcomed by the old knight, he recognized the sigil of the king Gawain on the hilt of eamon's sword and immediately bowed down to him, even as old as he was. Eamon quickly rushed to lift him up

"That is of no need old man, I'm only here seeking assistance and shelter"

They had exchanged stories of how he got to live in the woods and Eamon's tragic story. He was allowed to stay till he got his feet up and there on the old knight gave shelter to eamon and baemor.
