"Luffy?" Nami whispered. Her eyes widened as she saw him. He was all blue.
"Why is he like that?" Sanji muttered.
"He's different," Franky remarked as he looked at Luffy's aura.
"Ben?" Zala asked as she looked at him for answers.
Ben nodded. "I've read that the Kage Kage no Mi has another ability. If someone consumes a shadow, they gain the strength and skills of its owner," Ben responded.
"So it's like a power boost," Mikita said as she looked at Luffy.
"That's impressive," Saphir shouted from inside the tank.
"Is Luffy now stronger than Oars?" Conis asked as she looked at the blue man.
"He is not taller than Ben in his beast form," Reiki remarked.
"No one is stronger than Oars," Moria said as he coughed blood as his grin twisted. "I don't know how you got that transformation, Straw Hat but it won't save you." he added.
Luffy straightened up. "Everyone seems alright," he said calmly.
"We've been helping each other out," Alvida added with a smile.
"Our Devil Fruits do help," Nojiko added.
Ben did think that was right. In the original, only Usopp and Nami were still on their feet. Everyone else had been defeated however with him and the girls it was too much to Oars. He looked at Oars who looked in a terrible shape.
Luffy stepped forward. "Step aside, everyone. I'll defeat him," he said.
"By yourself?" Mikita asked.
"Ben, you took the last one," Luffy said as he looked at Ben.
Ben smirked. "Sure, Luffy. He's all yours for now," he said. He thought he would let Luffy finish Oars off. However he was going to defeat the next phase.
"Oars, crush them all!" Moria commanded from the cockpit.
"Okay," Oars rumbled. He twisted his massive body and pulled his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no Rifle," he said. Moria moved his shadow back. Oars` arm spiraled like a drill before thrusting forward with devastating force.
However Luffy didn't flinch. He raised his hand and caught Oars's colossal fist with a single palm.
Everyone froze.
"He stopped it with one hand," Zoro said.
"That's incredible," Porche gasped.
"What is this power?" Kalifa whispered as she adjusted her glasses.
"Even Ben struggled against that attack," Raki muttered. She looked at Ben and then was about to say something.
Ben chuckled and shook his head. "It was a big attack," he remarked as he smiled at Raki.
Robin smiled. "Ben could," Robin laughed.
"How did you stop that?" Moria shouted.
Luffy's eyes burned with determination. "The only Luffy is me," he said as he leapt forward and drove his fist into Oars's face. The impact shattered the stone created by Raki earlier. The fragments rained down as Oars's massive body was sent flying. He crashed into the ground. There was a dust cloud erupting around him.
"Damn it," Oars growled as he forced himself up.
Luffy lunged at him. He grabbed Oars by the hair and with monstrous strength, he slammed the giant's head into the ground. The impact shook the battlefield.
Before Oars could recover, Luffy yanked his hair again and lifted his massive skull and slammed it back down. Then again. And again. Each strike thundered like an earthquake. The ground cracked beneath the force.
Everyone watched as Luffy manhandled the ancient giant. "He is treating him like a child," Chopper said.
Luffy held Oars by the hair and began to spin. He dragged the giant's massive body in a wide circle. The ground cracked beneath Oars's weight as they whirled faster and faster. The air howled with the force of the rotation.
"Gomu Gomu," Luffy shouted as he released his grip. Oars's enormous body was hurled through the air like a ragdoll. He crashed into a massive building. The structure exploded into rubble as stone and dust rained down.
The giant groaned as he forced himself upright. "You bastard," he snarled as he tried to charge forward; however his broken leg buckled beneath him, and he stumbled.
Luffy's eyes narrowed. He drew a sword from his back and dashed forward. With a single slash across Oars's torso, he carved a deep wound and forced the giant to stagger back.
Inside the cockpit, Moria's grin faltered. "Tch… I need to get out of here," he said.
However before he could react, Luffy appeared in front of him. He stretched his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no Pistol," he said as his fist rocketed forward. He smashed his fist into Moria's face. There was blood spraying as the warlord was hurled back into the cockpit. The impact reverberated through Oars as well, the giant reeled from the shared blow.
"Gomu Gomu no Storm," Luffy said as he launched into a relentless barrage. His fists blurred and rained down on Oars's stomach like a torrential downpour. Each strike sent shockwaves that rippled through the giant's body. The ground trembled with every impact.
Moria got hit as well. There was blood dripping from his lips as the punches hammered him as well.
Luffy's fists pounded harder and harder until the final blow sent Oars flying backward. The giant's massive body crashed into the central tower. The structure collapsed around him.
At that moment, Luffy's body convulsed. The shadows that had empowered him began to tear free. His monstrous aura faded and his body shrunk back to normal. He dropped to the ground.
"Luffy," Chopper and Usopp shouted.
Ben looked at Oars. He saw the heavy chains tethered to the ruined tower. "He's weakened but zombies don't feel pain. We need to shatter his spine," he said.
He raised his hand. There was dark energy swirling in his palm. "Demon Beam," he added as the blast shot upward and struck the iron chains. With a thunderous explosion, the chains snapped and came crashing down and wrapped around Oars's torso. The giant roared as the weight pinned him upright and forced his spine rigid.
"What are you doing?" Oars growled. He tried to move however his broken leg made it impossible.
Ben soared into the sky and his large body spun violently. "Rakshasa Spinning Spiral," he said as he descended like a drill. His entire form was a whirling spear of destruction. With devastating force, he slammed into Oars's face. The giant's body jerked violently. The full impact traveled down his straight spine.
Then there was a sickening crack. Oars spine shattered as his large body collapsed backwards. Oars tried to move however he could not. "I can't move," he groaned.
"We… we did it," Vivi said.
"We defeated Oars," Conis said.
Chopper's eyes narrowed. "Even with multiple bones shattered, even with limbs broken a zombie can still move," he said.
Luffy got up and panted. He looked to see Oars down. "Ben, that was mine," he shouted.
"Sorry Luffy, I will buy you some meat," Ben responded.
"Meat," Luffy said.
