Chapter 460 - Chapter 475: By Lord Imu’s Command

The conflict in the Land of Swamps had finally come to an end with the disappearance of the Gate of the Underworld.

On the frontlines, commanders like Onigumo, Dalmatian, and Oven began preparing their respective main battle corps for the return to Rōran.

During this campaign against the devils, Lieutenant General Charlotte Oven's Third Main Battle Corps and Lieutenant General Dalmatian's Fifth Corps had suffered nearly 2,000 deaths combined, with over 5,000 wounded—both lightly and severely.

It was the heaviest casualty count the Army had suffered in any battle across the otherworld campaigns in the last five years.

The devils' bizarre techniques, strange and unpredictable magic, and overwhelming numbers had placed tremendous pressure on the troops.

And that was without factoring in the Shinobi Allied Forces' casualties.

On that front, the losses could only be described as utterly devastating.

Among them, the Uchiha Clan had been hit the hardest.

Not only had the clan head gone blind just days after awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan, but nearly all the jōnin who had awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan had perished in the battle.

Unless something unexpected happened, it was clear the Uchiha were heading toward decline.

...

What followed—the withdrawal of army units, the Allied Shinobi Forces returning to their respective villages, and the tedious affairs of restoring order, holding alliance talks, and founding the shinobi academy—none of that concerned Imu.

All Imu needed was the outcome: the complete conquest of the Shinobi World by the World Government.

Now came the time to extract the last remaining value from this world.

Did they really think that staying on the sidelines would keep them safe?

Naive!

Everyone seemed to have forgotten about them—but Imu, a transmigrator, had not.

...

Mount Myōboku.

A miniature world attached to the Shinobi World—a subspace, one could say.

Though the sky here was predominantly blue, there was an unmistakable tinge of green and yellow.

The drifting clouds appeared to be a clean white, yet carried faint hues of pink.

The rivers that flowed across the land shimmered in shades of yellow.

On the banks grew towering mushrooms of various colors, many far taller and thicker than trees, and every now and then, massive insects would scurry or leap into view.

In the distance stood colossal mountains that pierced the sky, rising and falling in majestic succession.

The entire world looked as if it were plucked straight out of a fantasy tale—a whimsical fairyland.

And yet, this serene and peaceful atmosphere was suddenly shattered—

—as a yellow-green portal opened soundlessly in midair.

A giant warrior, more than 20 meters tall, clad in golden armor inscribed with blood-red patterns, burst out from the portal. A massive golden sword was strapped to his right hip, a round golden shield hung from his left arm, and a billowing white cape flared behind him as he surged forward with unstoppable momentum.

"Take care on your way, Brother Dorry! I'll take Brother Brogy and Kashii to Ryūchidō and the Shikkotsu Forest. I'll be back to pick you up in no more than two hours!"

A deep, buzzing voice rumbled from within the green space.

[BOOM!!!]

Just as the voice finished speaking—

The golden giant, now high above Mount Myōboku, stomped down with his right foot.

A blast of pressure erupted that could easily kill an ordinary human, and the thunderous sound that followed echoed through the entire area.

Still moving forward with thunderous Moonwalk steps, Dorry turned and gave a casual wave to the other golden giant still within the green portal.

"Got it. See you then!"

With that, Dorry began striding toward the area with the densest concentration of living beings, his massive body moving with purpose.

Naturally, it didn't take long for him to be intercepted and surrounded by a group of large and able-bodied toads.

These toads, armed with various weapons, came in different sizes, but even the smallest stood over 10 meters tall. Most were around 15 meters, and the tallest one looked to be nearly 20 meters.

As they were all battle-type toads, none of them had bothered to shrink themselves with ninjutsu.

After all, this was their first time encountering a human close to their size.

Curious eyes studied Dorry intently.

"Outsider! Halt at once! Or we'll strike!"

The warning came from the largest of the assembled toads, a sky-blue giant gripping a long spear. Without a hint of courtesy, he pointed the tip at Dorry high above and shouted sternly.

But Dorry showed no concern. Behind the visor of his golden helmet, his gaze dropped to the speaker below as he asked in a deep voice, "Are you one of the leaders here?"

"That's right! I am Gamashi!"

Gamashi acknowledged his identity and immediately demanded, "Who are you? How did you enter Mount Myōboku? What's your purpose here?!"

Dorry replied without hesitation, "I am the 'Thunder Giant', one of Lord Imu's Giant God Warriors. I come by divine command to deliver the World Government's orders to Gamamaru of Mount Myōboku. Since you're in charge, lead the way."

"What?!"

Gamashi was briefly stunned.

"Gamamaru… isn't that the name of the Great Sage?"

He muttered under his breath, but in the next instant, his expression twisted in fury. He threw his head back and roared, "Insolent! Outrageous! How dare you speak the name of our Great Toad Sage so casually?!"

Clearly, this was a hot-tempered toad—impulsive and quick to anger. Rather than Dorry's statement itself, it was the perceived disrespect that enraged him.

The other toads followed suit, glaring at Dorry with weapons ready, tense and bristling with hostility.

"I'll say it again," Dorry said flatly, "I act on Lord Imu's command. No matter how revered your Toad Sage may be, you are to remain humble. Calling him by name is not an insult—it is the proper and rightful way to address him."

As he spoke, he pulled down the visor of his helmet. With his face now hidden, none of the toads could read his expression.

"Imu, that arrogant name again…"

Gamashi, hearing that haughty tone and imperious name, grew even more furious.

Just as he opened his mouth to curse—and was about to launch a violent attack—a harsh, commanding voice suddenly rang out from behind, cutting him off completely.

"Silence!!"

"Wha—?"

Gamashi froze, startled by the voice—so familiar, and yet strangely distant. Confused, he turned his head, as did the other toads around him.

And because of that, none of them noticed the faint crackle of blue electricity that had just danced across the golden giant's body above.

Had Gamashi finished that sentence…

Dorry would have already activated the powers of his Logia-type Plasma-Plasma Fruit.

As a Giant God Warrior, it was his sworn duty to uphold Lord Imu's honor. Any insult against Imu had to be washed away in the offender's blood and life.

Fortunately, none of that came to pass.

Dorry retracted the electric current he had begun to release, silently observing the commotion among the toads below.

"Elder Fukasaku? Elder Shima?"

Gamashi looked on in surprise and suspicion as two small green-skinned toads, escorted by Gamabunta, approached.

"You nearly brought total disaster upon Mount Myōboku!"

Standing atop Gamabunta's head, Fukasaku spoke with lingering fear in his voice.

Beside him, Shima nodded repeatedly as she looked up at Dorry in the sky.

"It really was that close. Thank the Great Toad Sage—he foresaw the future again and sent us just in time to stop you!"

As she spoke, she instinctively wiped the cold sweat that had formed on her brow.

The future the Great Toad Sage had described to them had been truly terrifying.

He had spoken of a vision where nearly 80% of the toads would be killed by lightning like divine punishment, and Mount Myōboku reduced to scorched ruin.

And all of that devastation… would have been the result of Gamashi's impulsive actions.

But now things had taken a better turn.

According to the Great Toad Sage, if that disastrous "future" could be prevented, then Mount Myōboku would move toward a far brighter one.

Although the dream revealed only fragments—too vague to grasp in full—it had been enough to weigh heavily on the elder's mind. He'd spent days pondering the two radically different outcomes of those prophetic dreams.

Only recently did he realize they represented two diverging timelines.

To be honest, such a phenomenon was incredibly rare—perhaps even a first.

However, the elder also noticed that ever since the emergence of the World Government, the nature of his prophetic dreams had changed. Eventually, they began to depict outcomes entirely opposite to those shown before.

This alone spoke volumes about the overwhelming influence of the World Government—an entity capable of overturning the fate of the entire Shinobi World and rewriting it anew.

"Envoy of the World Government, the Great Toad Sage invites you for an audience and expresses his willingness to hear Lord Imu's divine will."

Fukasaku bowed respectfully to Dorry as he spoke. Shima followed suit, lowering her head.

"Good."

Dorry nodded.

Then, ceasing the use of Moonwalk, he allowed his massive body to drop freely.

[BOOM!!!]

In an instant, the ground cracked open beneath him, a plume of dust and debris rising into the air—only to be swept away cleanly by a wave of wind from Dorry's hand.

"Lead the way."
