Gust Staff was set upon by two twin women, one with black hair and the other had silver. They had big eyes and wide grins. They wielded two curved blades that were stained with blood. Black hair began to giggle, "So you're the stag the boss wanted for something special? Said we had to bring you alive and all" she made a pouty face. "Nah!" Silver hair yelled swiping at her. Gust hit it away with her staff and drove the blunt end across her face. Then driving it into her gut with great force. Ice coated her face and stomach and began to over take her, turning her into a solid block of ice.
Black hair backed up finally saw her dead cohorts around Gust's hooved feet all frozen in ice. Some shattered into pieces, missing heads, or limbs. Sweated beaded off her temple before she could act when one of the dead under Gust's control stabbed her from behind, killing her. It stared at Gust ready for an order. She cocked her head at it to go. She then went looking for a fight on her own. She began attacking black cloaked enemies turning them to pieces of ice. She kicked one into a wall and shattered their rib cage with her knee. She spun around shooting a wave of icicles by five running at her. They flew back into the air impaled by ice. They shattered into pieces after they landed.
She was then slashed at by a sword by a hooded man. He wasn't like the others he is bloodlust was not there. In fact his heart beat steady and calm. His eyes shown through the hood revealing nothing but swirling red vortexes. Gust then felt her mind become flooded with images of nightmarish realms in the far in the void. Her head felt like it would split as she fell to her knees in front of this man. He did nothing as he stood over her as whispers began to flood her ears. "You think your strong and wise. Poised and brave in the face of horror. But you are nothing in the broader scheme of things" the voice said. Blood dripped from her eyes and nose as she stared a the blackness and red vortexes pulsing as they met her eyes. She gripped her staff and swung at him missing as he drove a knee into her stomach. Air burst from her mouth as she was then hit again and again across the face. The man gripped an antler on her head and pulling her face up looking down on her. Blood now dripped from her mouth and her eyes had become bloodshot.
An image then took over her mind as she was now standing in a black pool. All around her thunder lit up the sky revealing she was surrounded by trees. Or what looked to be trees with long thin branches like arms reaching for salvation. From the darkness was revealed by a flash of lightning, a giant black stag with red eyes and silver antlers. It walked upon the pool and with each touch the pool would ignite in flames. Soon the fire spread out into an inferno. In a flash the stag turned into the hooded man who was holding a blade that was crimson. She then felt the pool stir as tendrils formed from it wrapping around her. It felt hot like tar as it burned her skin. She screamed in agony as it moved her around her; she was then set ablaze as the fire reached her. The man stood in the flames unaffected by it. Her flesh burned as she was now a skeleton charred and black. With a beating heart inside her rib cage. The man reached out a hand for her heart. But paused as he sighed visibly. She was now back in reality. She could see the sky and it was blue and purple. The hooded man was away from her as now Bruce stood in front of her and him. He had one arm and a sword through his back. He was bloodied and broken all over his body. His hair hung in front of him greasy from blood, the spikes on his back started to grow and glow purple, his face scowling with rage; he looked feral as he clenched his teeth. He slashed at the hooded man who parried it away with ease and continued to block each attack. Bruce's body turned to mist as he moved around the hooded man slashing and stabbing. The mist turned to bladed stabbing at him from all directions. Mist formed around his severed arm as it solidified and attached. With a newly formed arm he created a blade from the mist dual wielding them.
As he savagely came at the hooded man slashing at him with ferocity. The hooded man's body moved like rubber dodging, parrying each attack, and finishing with a kick to Bruce's abdomen. Gust watched confusedly, "He's not using that power again?' She looked at Bruce's face, his eyes were completely black and dark veins came out of the corner of his eyes.
He seemed possessed with rage. He pulled out a blade stuck through him and the would steamed black smoke healing. He flipped the sword, catching it by the handle, and bringing it down on the hooded man. The blade cut through his shoulder to chest and became stuck. Bruce pushed the blade and it wouldn't budge. He brought his other side down on the hooded man who caught the blade with his armored hand. He looked unaffected by the severe wound he had just received; he cracked Bruce in the face with the pommel of his sword and with a wave a strong invisible force hit Bruce, sending him sliding backwards. The sword in the man's chest was still there. The very fabric and his skin started moving about around the wound. He gripped the sword and pulled it free. He then held it erect with hand despite the large size of it. The wound healed instantly and with a flick a needle flew out of his hand embedding into Bruce's bare chest. He stopped moving as green veins spread out like a web from a needle.
Gust got up and ran the man jumping into the air bringing her staff down. The man blocked with his sword and saw ice forming on the blade. It began to spread from the sword to the man coating him. Gust turned back out Bruce's arm around her shoulder leading him away. "I'll get you some help, come on! We gotta get out of here" she yelled at him. His head slumped down allowing his hair to cover his face. "No…it's not poison…he has given me some kind of tranquilizer?" He mumbled. "That explains what one of these fanatics told me the boss wanted me alive. Seems he wants you too. We need to abandon this palace and courtyard, all is lost" Bruce glared at her. "You wand da leave…Tooper..?" He asked weakly as the paralysis affected him slightly slurring his speech. "I'm sorry I swore I'd look after you…" she began to tear up. She looked around and saw Iron Axe mangled and laying against a wall his skull caved in.
Knights were dying all around her, and some knights were prevailing against the enemy. The door to the palace exploded as Gust saw a woman with a bald head, red eyes, and spider-like legs coming from her back. The tips were glowing red as beams shot from them. She smiled big and was taller than the entrance bending down to walk in. Gust could hear men screaming inside and explosions with flashes of red light. Her head sank, "I'm sorry Tupper" she whispered as tears fell down her cheek. She then felt many sharp stabs on her back. She turned around to see the hooded man standing there perfectly fine. He had Bruce's sword resting on his shoulder and holding his own as he calmly slashed at a knight that came at him. From his hood two glowing blue eyes shone through the darkness. 'I thought they were red…' her head slumped to the side falling down with Bruce. She looked over at him seeing he had needles in his back as well and was completely unconscious. A horn could be heard blowing in the distance. The whispers of the hooded man echoed in her mind as he bent down staring at her with blue eyes. She felt calm and relaxed. She could sleep for days as she was mesmerized by his eyes. "You can't fight it. You are weak, but wanted alive. The Eldritch always delivers" her eyes closed and she was out.
