The Emperor's sightseeing tour took only six hours from start to finish, and even calling it a whirlwind visit would be an understatement. Considering his workaholic nature and a lifestyle hardly distinguishable from that of a Puritan, everyone could accept this hasty visit.

The Emperor's visit was brief, but its impact on international affairs, especially on the republic, was profound.

The most immediate and noticeable effect was the significant decrease in street orators, and those "heroes" in taverns who boasted about beating ten Sharp-Eared Elves single-handedly became hard to find, with virtually all calls for a tough foreign policy disappearing from society. As Der Große sailed away from New Orleans, the streets of the Republic Capital fell into a "silence," a sense of exhaustion from overexertion spreading, and the previously singing and dancing crowds now wore tired and hollow expressions, walking the streets in silence.
