The startled and angry fat village chief stood up and angrily questioned the unfamiliar face.

Clearly, from the earlier argument, Pei Mu had already discerned these people were Qianxi villagers, but in the midst of a conflict, admitting this would weaken him, so he took the initiative to ask first.

Baili Luliang grew angrier upon hearing this, and retorted fiercely, "This is our village's matter. You, an outsider, get out and stop interfering!"
In such remote mountain villages, families are the foundation, with branches spreading, but ultimately, they all originate from the same ancestors.
