A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Even the endless mountains, when crossed one by one, inevitably bring us closer to our goal.
But as the saying goes, while travelers cover a hundred miles, eighty to ninety percent of the real challenge lies in the final stretch, where the end is yet unseen despite overcoming many obstacles.
The agony of this last phase is exponentially more than the initial ninety percent.
Much like cultivation, though the journey from the beginning to the peak is arduous, reaching the summit is not difficult. However, once you attain the peak, without feeling any progress despite more accumulation, it's easy to feel the urge to give up.
That's why the ancients said, doing and being complete in doing is valuable, referring to that final ten percent.
And undoubtedly, the four disciples Tang Luo carefully selected are those who can accomplish this completeness.
