Ma Lin is more interested in shipbuilding than in the maritime trade.
Over the span of two years, a large number of ships were launched from Jingzhou Island. Among them were ships fifty meters long, which were considered large to the smaller folk. There were also ships measuring only four to five meters, but their speed was incredibly fast.
These vessels swiftly sailed along the coastlines in the southeast, northwest, and other directions of Jingzhou Island, engaging in trade activities, profiting from regional price differences and amassing considerable profits, a significant portion of which was reinvested into the shipyards.
Ma Lin hoped that shipbuilding technology could be rapidly improved.
Safety, speed, carrying capacity, maneuverability, ease of maintenance, and so on, all required more thoughtful consideration.
Due to pirate harassment, some warships were also invented, mainly characterized by their equipped cannons and automatic firearms, including sniper rifles.
