Chapter 1291 - Chapter 1404: Yu Zhou

Ma Lin felt that the speed of information dissemination still wasn't fast enough. It would be great if the television could be invented.

Ma Lin offered a huge reward for television development, increased funding for scientific research substantially, and supported more research teams. Television involved various technologies, and advancements in any area could lead to better performance and lower prices.

Xiaoqing explained the principle of television to extraordinary researchers: the use of a cathode-ray tube combined with a fluorescent screen to display images. The electrons emitted inside the cathode-ray tube strike the fluorescent screen, and depending on their energy, create minute light dots of varying brightness and color. The screen is divided into numerous pixels, which together form an image. The cathode-ray tube quickly scans the fluorescent screen, sweeping across all the pixels, while the glow and visual persistence combine them into a complete picture.
