After about an hour out of the door, they saw a herd of wild buffalo.
The hunting party consisted of seventeen people, and they were very bold.
Especially since they had well-made bows and spears, they were very confident.
They divided into two groups: one group lay in ambush, and the other drove the herd.
The ambush group had four longbows. The herd passed more than thirty meters from them.
They first fired a round of arrows, one of which hit but caused a shallow wound.
The luck was indeed not that good.
Another five people, holding spears, advanced and closed the distance to within twenty meters and each threw two spears. One buffalo was pierced, stumbling, while the others were scared off.
So everyone started chasing the heavily injured buffalo.
They tried to drive it into complex terrain, each carrying a bow or holding a spear for convenience in finishing off.
Finally, it couldn't climb up a dirt slope and hid in the grass below.
