Chapter 1852 - Chapter 1388: Floor Slab

Anyway, you can't use that steam engine to hoist the floor slabs.

So how about making another steam engine?

According to his improved design?

The problem is, this design needs a small piece of soft metal as a base plate to seal the gaps between the steel plates.

Otherwise, it will leak air.

If it leaks air, the power will decrease, and it might decrease more than just a little.

He doesn't have soft metal now.

His idea is that even if he found a gold mine, he would be willing to use gold plates as washers to seal that gap.

He would be willing to use any soft metal.

The key is he must have it.

In such a case, his steam engine would indeed be precious, requiring at least over a hundred grams of gold plates.

For now, it's better not to build such a steam engine.

Its principle is quite simple, though.

He can make it with his homemade equipment.

Currently, he lacks many devices, and if he wants to process relatively standard yet large metal parts, he can't do it well.
