Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

Rin sneaked into the town of Stamford, finally entering the town, making her way to the home of the merchant Gill, of the silver trading company.

Walking on the dark street that was sometimes, lit by flickering torches, she came upon the red light district, which was obviously the liviest part of the town at this time, she could see whores, dressed scantily waving in customers, with drunken patrons lying hazardly on the road, she kept walking until she was at the outskirts of the town, she saw a one story house with a garden in front with a variety of flowers grown, light sipped out from the of the house, even though it was already night, she could still here the sound of busy footsteps, it seems the Gill family was busy, or hardly sleep and she could guess why, she could hear the faint sound of teeth grating, she could feel the pain the person was going through.

Knock Knock

Knocking on the door she waited for the home owner, or servant to open the door and it did not take long, soon she could hear footsteps approaching the door.

Click

"yes who are you "the servant asked stepping out the door, an elderly woman rinkles filling up her face.

" evening mam I am Rin" Rin said giving a polite bow.

"so Rin how may I help you "

" I'm here to see Mr Gill"

"what businesses do you have with Mr Gill Young Lady" the servant asked.

"I am here on the matter of his son" Rin answered.

"Leave Mr Gill is not seeing guests at the moment " the servant spoke with a stern a look, and with her wrinkled face it looked all the more stern.

" could you just call me Mr Gill"

"I won't, you scammers haven't you done enough, I've seen so many of your kind making promises, giving him hope but each time they fail, and each time they break that poor man's heart all over again, so no I won't leave "

" but I can really save his child"

"no..... "

----

Inside Mr Gill sat by the side of his son, staring deeply into his face as if trying to carve every detail of his son's face into his mind, his eyes were full of dark cycle, he looked fatigued and weak, soon he could hear a commotion outside he wasn't really paying attention but soon he heard something that sounded like "save the child" springing to his feet he rushed toward the door pulling it open not minding his speed, he rushed down the stairs tripped fall before getting back up as if it were nothing, not minding the dust he opened the door.

"can you really save him, can you save my son"

---

A min before Gill arrived Rin and the servant were still having an argument before the heard the commotion, or should I say before the servant heard the commotion, they both stopped arguing and looked at the door.

"can you heal him, my son"

"yes mister Gill I can save your son, I can do more than save your son, let's go see your son" Rin motioned towards the door.

Mr Gill led the way, hurrying up the stairs, almost tripping his servant supporting him, but he didn't mind pushing her hands aside and rushing towards his son room,

Pushing the door open Gill rushed to his son's side looking At him with sad eyes before snapping out of it and calling out to Rin.

"this is my son Karl"

"he looks handsome " Rin could see the sickly pale child, she could hear his faint breathing, and his heart beat was weak like he was about to breath his last.

" his going to die in about a day or two"

"I knew you were a fraud, no good... "the servant cursed but Rin cut her off.

" I did not say I couldn't save him " Rin continued.

" let me show you something " Stepping towards the candle burning on the study at the bed side, she placed her hand into the flame, and Mr Gill watched as she burnt her hand, bringing her hands to Mr Gill to see, he watched in amazement as it healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"I can make your son like this, nothing can hurt him he would no longer be sick he would..... "

" devil it's the devil " the servant screamed, cutting Rin off.

" no it is a blessing "

" I will go call the priest Mr Gill don't be deceived" the servant said trying to leave the room she hadn't gone pass the door before she felt an impact on her head, turning she saw it was Mr Gill giving him a look of betrayal, she tried to raise her hand and defend her self but he kept on striking with the chair in his hands.

Mr Gill did not know what came over him he just kept on striking with the Chair, he knew if she called the priest his son would die and he just couldn't let that happen so he striked until all that was left on his hands were splinters.

"I am sorry Matilda but I have to save my son"
