Sienna gave the vampiress a bow and was about to excuse herself, but Criselle blocked her way. This time, only the two of them were in the entrance hall of the mansion. Mr. Perry had excused himself after the children left.
"From what I heard from the butler, the children were only supposed to take a walk in the town park. How come they went sightseeing at the lake? Was it your idea to take them on the water?"
The two ladies were almost the same height, with Sienna being a couple of inches taller, but Sienna kept her eyes lowered while the vampiress held her head high, considering her status as the duke's sister and as a Von Amstel.
Criselle's amber eyes glowed with hostility towards the maid, assuming that Sienna had done it on purpose. It had happened to Blair before, when a maid was displeased by her temperament and intentionally placed a small venomous snake in her sock to scare the little girl. Fortunately, Blair wasn't easily fazed by such a prank and wasn't bitten.
