Anxiety rose to Sienna's throat.
"You said I no longer need to do maid duties. That means I don't need to prepare your night bath anymore. I can excuse myself now, can't I?"
"You still need to compensate me, though. After I saved you, now you just want to stay away from me? Hmmm," Lemiel taunted.
"I believe I can't stay away from you, Duke. It seems you forgot I am living in your estate."
He loosened his grip on her wrists and so she was able to pull them from his hands. He didn't remove himself from her front, though.
"How are your wounds? You need to apply more medicine. You need help?"
Sienna remembered how mortifying it was when Lemiel helped her do it before. She was almost bare in front of him, and his fingers on her skin left an unsettling feeling on her stomach.
Even thinking about it now didn't sit well with her.
"Thank you for your offer, but it's not necessary, your grace. I will do it myself."
