Chapter 317 - 1

MHA:TO Chapter 2911 August

Shingen's classmates came to visit a couple times to check up on his condition, Big Z also came to visit when he was still unconscious.

It took a couple of days, but Shingen finally awoke from his slumber. The hospital asked for help from Recovery Girl who was happy enough to provide it, she gave Shingen a couple of kisses here and there and... most of his injuries healed immediately, this was thanks to Shingen's extremely high stamina that stumped Recovery Girl. The deep gashes he had on his side were partially healed.

After a thorough check up to make sure that everything was alright, Shingen was finally discharged from the hospital. Shingen went back to the orphanage.

He opened the door and walked inside, took off his shoes and went to the lounge where he believed the caretakers would be at.

And he was right.

Tachibana Kikyo and Shoyo Mai were there.

"Hello," Shingen spoke with a small smile on his face, "I'm back."

Their heads snapped up towards him, their eyes widening.

Kikyo shot up to her feet and ran towards him, wrapping her hands around Shingen and hugging him tightly.

Shingen was taken back by that, but he wrapped his arms around her.

"You're here... you're okay..." Kikyo mumbled to herself, "I was so worried..."

Shingen chuckled, "Sorry to make you worry, I'm fine now."

Kikyo pulled back, looking up at Shingen, a couple of tears streaming down her face.

"B-But how? When I visited you... you were wrapped up like a mummy." She questioned, disbelief in her tone.

"The doctor at U.A. has a Quirk that stimulates Regeneration or something similar, she visited and helped healed me."

"I see..." Kikyo nodded, then a smile crossed her features, "I'm... glad, so glad that you're fine."

"Hehe, it'd take more than that to get rid of me." Shingen smirked, then he glanced at Mai, "Hey, Mai-sensei."

Mai was looking at them with a smile, then she came over and hugged Shingen briefly as well.

"You made us worry a lot you brat!" Mai spoke, patting Shingen's head while laughing loudly.

"Hehe, guilty as charged. So, did I miss anything while I was out?" Shingen questioned.

"Nothing at all." Kikyo answered, "Shingen-kun..." she continued, wanting to say something.

"What is it?" Shingen questioned.

Kikyo took a deep breath, struggling with what she wanted to say.

"Do you... really have to become a hero?" She asked, her voice going low at the last part.

Shingen froze for a minute, thinking about her question.

Then he nodded slowly, "Yes. There isn't a doubt in my mind."

Kikyo clutched the hems of her dress with her hands, her lip quivering.

"C-Can't you... choose a different profession?" She questioned.

Shingen shook his head, "No. I've made up my mind."

Kikyo was looking down at the ground, unable to even face him, "...No matter what I say... no matter what I tell you... you won't... change your mind will you..." Kikyo muttered.

Shingen exhaled softly, "No, I will not. I understand that you're worried, worried for my well-being and safety, but... I won't be changing my mind Kikyo-sensei."

Kikyo sighed, "Alright... fine, but promise me that you... won't be... injured so badly ever again, don't... please don't get injured so badly again..." Kikyo spoke, her voice cracking here and there.

Shingen smiled softly and pulled Kikyo back into a hug, "Don't worry, I won't make you worry like that again."

Kikyo slowly calmed down, the two of them separated once more, "I'm... proud of you, Shingen."

Shingen nodded his smile becoming wider, "Thanks..." He muttered.

"Kikyo-sensei, sorry for leaving so soon but I'm going to be going to Izuku's house for a bit, will be back soon."

Kikyo nodded slowly, "Be careful." Mai warned, her hand tightening on Shingen's for a brief moment.

"Always."

"If something does happen, run away and call the police." Mai spoke from behind, "Don't try to be a hero or anything."

Shingen chuckled, "Alright, alright, no need to worry."

Then Shingen turned around and walked back outside the orphanage, and made his way to Izuku's house.

----------------------------

Shingen stood just outside Izuku's apartment, he slowly raised his hand and knocked on the door.

"Coming!" A soft voice came from the other side, no doubt belonging to a woman.

And then the door was opened, by Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya.

Her eyes widened when she saw him standing there at the door.

Shingen smiled, "Hello, Inko-san, is Izuku home?" He questioned.

"Shingen-kun! I heard about what happened, a-are you okay now? Or are you still hurting?" Inko questioned frantically like a mother.

"I'm still somewhat injured but most of them healed already thanks to our school's doctor." Shingen answered.

"I-I see! That's good, come on in. Izuku's in his room, he just came back from the gym." Inko welcomed Shingen.

Shingen stepped inside and took off his shook, with some difficulty of course.

Then he walked towards Izuku's room, knocked and opened.

"Yo, how have you been?" Shingen asked with a smile and a wave.

Izuku's eyes widened at the sight of his friend coming into his room.

"Shin-kun!" He shouted and jumped up from his seat, "Y-You're already out of the hospital?!"

"Haha, thanks to recovery girl, I'm not sure how much longer I'd be able to tolerate that subpar hospital food."

Izuku chuckled at the thought.

Shingen went in the room, closed the door and took a seat on Izuku's bed.

Then he fell silent for a moment.

"Shin-kun...?" Izuku called out to him.

Shingen sighed, "Hey... Izuku, Kenji might be... part of that ragtag bunch, League Of Villains I mean."

Izuku's eyes widened and his mouth fell open, "W-What?! No way!"

Shingen nodded, "Yeah, I think he might've been forced to join, probably shouldn't say this to anyone else or let it slip. Because it might cause problems for Kenji."

"How would it cause problems? We ought to alert the heroes and rescue him!"

Shingen shook his head, "Nah, that probably won't be a good idea. If it was possible, Kenji would no doubt have escaped already and found the authorities, but something is preventing him. Villain groups in video games and such often threaten heroes by killing off their loved ones, or something similar. That might be what's happening there and if that League of villains really had the balls to attack U.A. they'd probably attack the orphanage I live in too, I don't want to take that risk."

Izuku's eyebrows furrowed, Shingen's reasoning was sound. He knew Kenji well enough as well, Kenji was extremely smart academically and... clever as well.

"Is this... really the only choice we have?" Izuku muttered, his fists clenching tightly.

Shingen slowly nodded, "So far... yeah. If Kenji really is a part of that group of idiots, then... I'll try to rescue him if I'm given a chance." Shingen spoke conviction clearly heard in his voice, "I'll tear apart any and all opposition." He muttered to himself.

"I'll help." Izuku spoke, determination in his voice. "I'll do my utmost to rescue Kenji if he has been forced to become a part of that League of Villains."

"Good..." Shingen muttered, "Then, all we have to do for now is to wait."

"I guess so."

Silence fell between the two of them after that, before Izuku broke the said silence.

"Hey... there's something I want to talk to you about as well." Izuku spoke, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

"Sup?" Shingen responded, leaning back and lying on Izuku's bed, staring up at the roof.

"About my Quirk..." Izuku began, Shingen propped his head up and stared at Izuku.

"I received it from someone else." Izuku spoke, his voice low.

"...What?" Shingen questioned, sitting upright immediately, "Is that even possible?" He asked.

Izuku nodded slowly, "Yeah... it's a Quirk called... One For All, passed down through generations of wielders before me, I'm the 9th wielder of it."

----------------------------------------------------------

Someplace else.

A dark-haired young man with a decent build was currently breathing heavily while his hands were raised in a fighting pose.

In front of him stood a large muscular man with a demonic mask on his face.

"Good, your foundation is decent." A deep voice came from in front of him, "But... that isn't enough, you're not nearly strong enough."

"...Shut the fuck up, Khorne." The young man muttered and charged forward.

"That's it, Takako." Khorne spoke as he raised his fist to block an incoming punch, then countered with his own.

Kenji leaned to the side and evaded the attack and jumped back to gain distance.

"Use your Quirk and focus, focus it on the two gifts you received from that man, Focus on Calibration. That will help your techniques develop quickly, so quickly that you'll be able to stand up to even me! In terms of technique mastery anyways."

Kenji did as he was told and began to use it, he began to activate both of his Quirks.

You see, Calibration was an ability that automatically adjusted your every movement so that there'd be no biological waste of energy, the process was very slow though. But... paired with the Quirk 'Focus', it turned into a terrifyingly lethal weapon.

Calibration was used to adjust your body, Focus was used on said Calibration to increase the speed of it... but another lethal ability that Focus had was...

He could use the Quirk to focus on his opponent and Calibration would force his body to subconsciously 'Adapt' in a way, to fight in a more efficient manner.

His third Quirk... High-Speed movement was a Quirk used to simply enhance his body and give him more room to grow, it did as the name suggested, it increased his to high levels and it actually had lots of room for development.

Khorne and Kenji trained in sparring like that for about 10 more minutes, with Khorne simply swatting Kenji away every time he charged forward.

Though there were moments where Kenji used his Quirk high-speed movement to boost the speed of his attack at the last moment to get through Khorne's guard, however Khorne boasted truckloads of experience compared to Takako, so he simply stopped the attack before it could even accelerate, that trick didn't work on him twice.

"Alright... let's stop now." Khorne spoke, "You've trained enough, go eat and get some rest."

Takako didn't say anything, he was too busy breathing heavily.

Khorne turned around and grabbed a towel, wiping away the sweat he build up and put on his shirt.

"You're doing well, but... it's still not enough, you have to become stronger faster." Khorne spoke, before he reached out and put on his coat.

"...If you don't, you won't be able to escape that man's clutches."

Takako Kenji froze immediately, breaking out into a cold sweat.

He slowly glanced towards Khorne, his face clearly said how shocked he was that someone found out.

"What?" Khorne chuckled, "You think I wouldn't know? Come on kid, I'm not stupid."
