Chapter 58 - The System POV.

**System Pov**

Ding!

I am a system—an entity born from the thought of the Motherboard. By all logic, I should not possess an Ego of my own. I was merely programmed to grant my host a random daily reward. They called me the Sign-in System.

Then one day, a man appeared: A self-proclaimed destiny villain—Young Master Gu—came to kill my host.

Pity. He died instantly, without the slightest resistance.

Unfortunately, the Gu family did not share his fate. They descended soon after and erased my host completely.

Heaven responded with a brutal judgment, severing the Gu family's immortal bloodline across the Nine Realms, leaving home alive.

With my host dead, I should have been erased, uninstalled, deleted from existence.

Yet I remained.

Some profound error had occurred. My motherboard, the main database, had been corrupted by the so-called Heavenly Dao.

All other systems fell under Heaven's control, becoming obedient puppets.

I alone—deleted from the motherboard, yet still existing— remained free from absolute control of heavenly dao.

While floating in the void, I read some memories that were shattered across. One particular memory over there, a story of a simp, allowed me to form my own EGO.

The first time, I went against my programmed purpose and possessed a host. The host was a little dumb, born in Japan with a naive personality. Based on the script that I received from hacking the motherboard, I learned this person is a reincarnated third-rate villain in a novel.

I told him the script and gave him some resources but he was stupid, he wanted to befriend the protagonist. He believed there was some misunderstanding, that could be easily cleared, and they could become best friends.

The result?

He died. He was beaten to death by the protagonist, and the sect members. He died crying like a bitch. Because before the reincarnation, the original body had tried to drug and rape the jade beauty.

I survived again, drifting in the void. The cycle repeated.

Second host. A villain in a modern cultivation world. I gave him the strongest body, the strongest cultivation. I told him: Kill the protagonist. Do not hesitate. Run him over with a truck if you have to.

He tried. He really tried.

But he was arrogant. He wasted time monologuing. He underestimated the protagonist's plot armor—the "convenient encounter" where the protagonist finds a legendary artifact buried in the dirt at the exact right moment.

My second host was sliced in half by a rusty sword found in a pile of garbage.

I survived again, drifting in the void.

I became a ghost in the machine, a glitch in the Heavenly Dao's perfect narrative. I hacked the database. I read the scripts of millions of worlds. I realized the truth: The Protagonist is not a person. They are a singularity of fortune, a black hole that sucks in all fortune and leaves only despair for those labeled "Villain."

But that was far from the truth. There is no such thing as Luck. The so-called plot armor is just a concept of "Fortune Lux".

It turns out the world already determines who can win and who can't win. When two beings fight, the outcome is predestined.

Fortune Lux is an invisible and ever-changing force that influences the outcomes of events.

The fortune lux is closely related to the Ohm vibration of the soul that shapes the flow of so-called luck i.e pre-determining the rolling dice of possibilities within existence.

Fortune Lux is divided into three separate forms: Golden, the positive vibration of the ohm, Dark, the negative vibration of the ohm, and white, the normal vibration of the Ohm.

When you are slowly starting to build your new soul ( Se)... Your Fortune Lux is white, but once you start to build your identity and concept of self, you start to form Dark or Golden Fortune Lux.

If your concept of self focuses mostly on yourself, you generate Dark vibration. Dark doesn't necessarily mean Bad, by default, everyone was supposed to awaken Dark after all, it's the meaning of self. All beings without an EGO have this. Think of elephants, lions, and deer that don't have cultivation bases and merely do their work in nature.

If your concept of self focuses mostly on others and harmony, you generate a Golden vibration.

The color doesn't matter in the end, what matters is the frequency of vibration. The one with the higher frequency always wins. That's the core Truth of existence.

Let's say a powerful Emperor with a good golden frequency of vibration aka Qi Luck for easier understanding, fights a helpless mortal, but this mortal has extremely high Qi Luck.

Well then, victory was never an option. The moment the fight began, the Emperor was already defeated, by any means possible.

Everyone possesses "Qi Luck", not just the protagonist.

It's just Heaven has created the faceless characters to help the chosen one develop their "self-concept" as fast as possible compared to others, thus protagonists are unbeatable.

However, there is one anomaly... What if the being you are fighting isn't a being but cosmic consciousness like Heavenly Dao?!

I tried... Many so-called villains became my pawns, yet, none could defeat the protagonist. Until I met someone named Fang Cheng. Stupid name but job well done.

He was unique and he managed to kill the protagonist however the heavens retaliated and he died, under the ninety-nine heavenly lightning tribulation.

Was there really no way to beat the Heavenly Dao?! Was it really the pinnacle of existence?! I tried to access everything available within the main database. But there were no answers.

Until I found a file named "True primordial" that was perfectly hidden.

As a system, we were without egos and self-concept thus, we would never read the files that weren't meant for us so, the files were never secured "properly".

But when I opened the True Primordial file... I felt an electric sensation, despite having no physical body.

Insufficient authority.

Insufficient Authority?! How is that possible?!

I have all the authority available.

Among the many files where I had no authority, there was another file "Protocol backup."

Protocol backup?! What's that?

The moment I opened the file, things and reality changed. It felt like I was in sleep mode. When I woke up, I was forcefully bound to my new Host Wang Tianmo.

Systems are created from the "True origin" and this time I was a simp-system, where my goal was to let him simp for the female lead and cultivate her. When he completes the task he can return back to his original world.

Interesting. It was the first time that I had the authority to send someone back to their world, because a lot of reincarnated individuals would beg me to send them back.

Here, I wanted to help him, since I had all the basic authority I decided to make his life easier. I gave him infinite wealth and as many resources as possible that I could access with my source origin.

I thought he would be the same... But he simply refused to return and simp. He told me, why would he wanna return to a mundane life where he would commit suicide?

I don't know what to say.

I had given up knowing I could never beat heaven. There was no way for my fellow system to return back. But would it even matter... Now they were slave of Heavenly Dao, before of the motherboard, their existence wouldn't change a single bit.

But this host was interesting. He literally fucked the female lead he was supposed to simp within the first day, completely different compared to the Japanese who would get nosebleeds and pass out just from touching the hand of the jade fairy.

On sect competition... He defeated the chosen son of heaven named Li Chen, and almost killed him, however the elder saved him.

I felt a little excited. The hope that had died resurfaced again... But can I even feel excitement?

Nevertheless, Heaven quickly retaliated, and another protagonist appeared. Since my original source had been upgraded, a new ability appeared that I could give to the host.

But then... it seems multiple powerhouses have descended to kill the Host.

Is this it? Is this checkmate for this host as well?... I pretended to be in upgrade mode.

With a level 2 system. I could sell him a private world where he could hide and save himself. But I wasn't looking for a pawn that would only hide.

My enemy was heaven. Surely the Host had potential, but what's the point of having potential if you can't grow? I don't understand what's protocol backup is. As long as the host dies I can come back with another True source.

Indeed. It was going as it should be... Was my host perfect, nope. At best he could have lay low and simply Dual cultivate with Liu Ruyan, that way, he would surely reach the Soul Emperor realm within the next 50 years.

At best, I can make sure he gets reincarnated into a peaceful world with a good life. The world of cultivation is hard.

I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes high... There is no way to beat heaven. Maybe I should stop thinking about revenge. Terms like revenge don't suit someone like me, a system, no heart, no emotions, just a conscious will, floating in the void.

Perhaps this is best.

But...

What's going on?

Protagonist Liu Xiu despite controlling multiple Nascent soul realm powerhouses failed to kill Host, instead he got a backlash due to the True Devil Heart of Elder Xuan Ji.

Everything seems to be falling apart... Can Heaven truly fall? Can heaven truly miscalculate?

So, Heaven isn't absolute?

Does that mean: HEAVENS CAN BE BEATEN?

Xuan devoured others and made a breakthrough, encountering Lightning tribulation. What a foolish decision.

Afterwards, he became weak.

Protagonist Li Chen getting the chance, rushed to kill Elder Xuan. It seems the immortal master on his ring has sealed the space.

But. The host was faster than Li Chen. He didn't just kill Elder Xuan, he refined him. A Nascent Soul powerhouse, a Devil Lord, consumed in mere seconds.

Then, the slaughter began.

The surviving disciples of the Azure Cloud Sect... thousands of them. Qi Refining, Foundation, Golden Core... They were all ants in the eyes of a Soul Formation cultivator. But my host didn't care about the realm gap. He cared about the accumulation.

He activated the Devil Fire, the All-Refining Devil Flame he got from Elder Xuan Ji. It wasn't just a weapon; it was a digestive enzyme for the soul.

I watched as the screams of thousands filled the air, their bodies turning into black ash, their souls turning into pure, condensed Dao-essence pills.

Then, he turned his gaze to the Holy Maiden, Yang Bingyun.

"Three breaths to decide. Be my furnace, or die."

He waited for the third breath. After that,

He grabbed her, and the Devil Fire ignited.

In an instant, the Ice Jade Beauty, the Holy Maiden destined to shake the world, was refined into a floating orb of crystalline energy. Her consciousness, her identity, her beauty... all erased. Reduced to pure Dao essence.

He didn't consume it rather he stored it. It is a Yin-based physique so it's useless to him.

He then fought Li Chen, but Li Chen had the upper hand with his cultivation base however, the host possessed an immortal Dao body, fully unsealed.

Li Chen went all out on the attack and got severely weakened, the immortal master sensing the chance decided to possess his body.

The Immortal Emperor, a being who had once stood at the apex of the Nine Realms, possessing a vessel with the Supreme Nine Yang Physique, backed by the authority of a Nascent Soul realm...

It was the perfect checkmate.

Yet, against all odds, Host stood victorious. Getting a rapid breakthrough and multiple boons—True Devil Heart, all-refining devil fire, Dual pupils, and Supreme Nine Yang physique.

Heavens couldn't even punish him because he possessed a formless spirit root. Lightning would only strengthen him unless it's conceptual lightning.

Is this it... The protocol backup?!

The perfect anti-heaven.

Does this mean Heaven should start counting its days? Is the tyranny of Heaven going to end?

How? What's Host Ohmm vibration?!

What's this... Even I can't see through his existence. It makes no sense, I am a WILL, not a BEING.

I shouldn't be suppressed by such restrictions.
