'That's a neat spell, one that I haven't seen before.'
"I felt a little itch covering my body," I said, and Adora froze. Her eyes turned to me for a moment before she pointed her wand back at Daph. A familiar spell was quickly formed and fired at Daphne's arm, but the spell was very weak. With no delay, the spell was simply deflected by her glistening skin as it collided and was absorbed by the floor.
"Hmm, mana resistance?" I questioned as I moved closer. The heavy shower had already cleaned the blood off me.
"Yes, one of the abilities of the Basilisk, though it does not work as well for us as it does for the mythical creature. It's hard scales amplify the magic, nullifying almost all mana from harming it, but when inherited by us, it can only provide a weak mana resistance effect." She spoke, her eyes roaming around Daph's frame for a moment before she looked at me. I was standing quite close to her, admiring her figure.
