"If you're reluctant to part, we can play for a little longer," Glades Horne said indulgently.

Julia Bluen shook her head.

"I want to find out about my sister's whereabouts sooner," Julia Bluen said, then turned to look deeply into Glades Horne's eyes once more. Those eyes seemed to possess an X-ray vision, as if analyzing the things Glades was hiding from her.

Glades Horne raised an eyebrow, then pressed her head into his chest, preventing her from looking at him with that probing gaze. He had instructed Jonathan Allen not to inform him about news of Ruby Bluen during his honeymoon; he simply wanted to enjoy a world of just the two of them with Julia Bluen.

He knew that he was being a bit selfish in doing so.
