Seeing Sofia Hamilton not doing well was her greatest pleasure.
Regina Brown just had to think about it, and she'd feel delightfully refreshed, her gloomy mood of the past few days instantly lifted.
Thinking about the last time, at the hotel, how Ryan Gregory had defended her, made her feel a surge of bile stuck in her throat.
"See if I don't give her some proper color this time. I refuse to believe that I can't outdo her!"
"Right, isn't she just a mistress? It's just a fling, how could she compare with you? With your disposition, your looks, aren't you streets ahead of her? You don't know, the last time I saw her in that dress, such a beautiful dress, but she managed to give it a rustic touch. If it were on you, the feeling would definitely be completely different."
The woman kept on flattering and currying favor, and to Regina Brown, these words were music to her ears.
