Chapter 6
"Mr. Baker, something terrible has happened!"
The secretary hurried over, looking extremely anxious.
Sofia Hamilton frowned. "What's wrong?"
"There's a commotion downstairs. Early this morning, an artist under our company jumped off a building and committed suicide. They left a letter exposing the company's dark dealings, claiming they were forced to participate in banquets and engage in physical transactions for a fixed price. Now, the deceased's family members have caused an uproar right here in the lobby."
"There are journalists everywhere, along with a lot of troublemakers. The security guards can barely hold the situation."
The secretary looked at her nervously. "Mr. Baker, what should we do?"
What to do?
That question had indeed landed squarely on her.
Since taking office, she hadn't encountered such a thorny issue. If handled poorly, it could turn into a credibility crisis.
Sofia Hamilton's mind was in disarray for a moment. "I'll go down and take a look."
