"You really trust me?" Ryan Gregory was somewhat surprised.
Sofia Hamilton saw his incredulous expression and couldn't help but smile. "Do you not want me to trust you? And why do I feel like you're not completely happy about this? If it doesn't make you happy, I can always choose not to trust you."
She said this with a smile, pretending to be nonchalant as she raised an eyebrow in feigned threat.
Seeing the smile bloom across her face, he finally relaxed, believing that she was genuinely trusting him.
If she didn't trust him, she wouldn't joke with him, let alone smile.
Given her temperament, she would've acted like a hedgehog, protecting herself while wounding him.
Ryan Gregory finally felt a sense of relief.
He let out a sigh—God knows how nervous he had been!
He had been terrified that she might once again believe Regina Brown's provoking words...
Seeing him exhale a breath of tension, Sofia Hamilton felt a surge of emotion rise in her heart.
