Chapter Three
"Where is he? I want to see him."
Sofia Hamilton choked out.
Lucy Greene, however, curled her lips into a bitter smile, "He's already been sent to the crematorium."
A heartless corpse, what is there to see?
Perhaps Aaron Brown wouldn't want her to see him either.
Lucy Greene said bitterly, "You're one step too late."
Hearing this, Sofia felt an overwhelming sadness.
She wouldn't even get to see him one last time.
If he hadn't tried to save her, none of this would have happened.
Recalling his last words to her, Sofia felt a sourness well up inside her.
"He used his life to save you. If you are truly grateful, live well."
With that, she stepped away.
The sound of high heels echoed loudly in the empty corridor.
Each step sounded somewhat resentful.
As if each step was being forcefully stamped on Sofia's heart.
She knew Aaron Brown used his life to save her, and for Lucy Greene, this was cruel.
After all, she was Aaron Brown's fiancée.
