Chapter 3
The doctor explained, and Ryan's mother nodded repeatedly, "If my son can wake up, is there hope for him to survive?"
"You could say that." The doctor couldn't bear to be too definitive and comforted Ryan's mother, "Call us if there are any changes."
"Alright, alright, thank you."
Ryan's mother thanked the doctor, alternating between crying and laughing.
After the doctor left, Ryan's mother excitedly grabbed Tiffany's hand, "Tiffany, you must be Kevin's lucky star. Otherwise, he wouldn't improve as soon as you arrived. Auntie promises that if Kevin recovers, I will let him marry you and treat you like my own daughter."
Tiffany smiled faintly, her worried heart easing a little.
She knew Kevin wouldn't leave so easily.
She looked at Kevin in the hospital bed. Although his face was pale, his wounds were bandaged, and he wore an oxygen mask, it didn't detract from his handsomeness at all.
Being willing to risk life and death for that woman proves he's very devoted.
